I think it's pretty clear from Genesis 9:21 that, in the Bible, wine is alcoholic.

This explains meandering rivers, tributaries, etc and so on nicely.

That does not help you. Poetry by ignorant (of how the Earth was made at any rate) people is not evidence. In fact it is only evidence against the Bible. At least when used as you used it. If one regards it properly as poetry and not to be taken literally it does not harm to the Bible.
