People have asked that question for ages. Here are a few of the possibilities they have imagined:Then the next logical question would be who/what would be capable of such a miracle, other than the Biblical God?
No, I can't imagine those either.People have asked that question for ages. Here are a few of the possibilities they have imagined:
Vishnu
Hayyi Rabbi
Mbombo
Sidaba Mapu
Pangu
A pink unicorn
Surely you could imagine a lot more options?
Academia expects us to give them equal airtime, despite the fact that academia KNOWS we are monotheists. No, I can't imagine those either.
Aphantasia is a rare and poorly researched condition. You have my sympathy. No, I can't imagine those either.
Well, I'm not alone... Exodus 33:20.Aphantasia is a rare and poorly researched condition. You have my sympathy.
Um, not sure how that is relevant. Do you think God kills those who lack imagination?Well, I'm not alone... Exodus 33:20.
What evidence is there for me to choose from?God creates an apple ex nihilo into the palm of your hand.
What specific evidence would you use to convince your friend He did this?....
An excellent question. What evidence is there for me to choose from?
Do you have evidence that God created the earth ex nihilo?
What is it? a plasma cloud? microwave background? ion trail? time crystals? anything? anything at all?
I have not studied divine creation to know what sort of evidence it would leave. So Im asking a believer whos quite concerned with these matters: you.An excellent question.
That's because you're smart enough to know that you'll die of old age doing it too.I have not studied divine creation to know what sort of evidence it would leave.
I say there isn't any.durangodawood said:So I'm asking a believer whose quite concerned with these matters: you.
It seems very unruly. Chaotic. Events happening without relation to other events. Its disorder....I say there isn't any.
Catastrophism on demand -- sounds divine, doesn't it?It seems very unruly. Chaotic. Events happening without relation to other events. Its disorder.
Flattery will get you nowhere.Promoting ignorance is very unbecoming.
God creates an apple ex nihilo into the palm of your hand.
What specific evidence would you use to convince your friend He did this?
I say there isn't any evidence.
Hi, Eddie! If it is an apple then you need testimony & evidence.
Sure.you used apple to deceit.
replace apple with Law.
God creates an apple ex nihilo into the palm of your hand.
What specific evidence would you use to convince your friend He did this?
I say there isn't any evidence.
The only thing that could remotely be used as evidence is the fact that the amount of mass/energy in the universe was raised accordingly, in violation of physical laws.
But we would have no way of knowing that, since science is myopic.*
* By myopic, I mean science is not omniscient.
You could present the apple yourself as evidence, along with your testimony, but your friend would have to accept that fact on faith, not science.
If he didn't accept it, and chose to believe you're wrong, then he, not you, would be the one in the wrong.
So do you agree with me that there is no evidence you can use to convince him, or not?
