Hope shook her head. "And what will you do when you get there? It's empty, not any agents there. They need medical help and that's more important than getting in trouble. We can't all get in trouble, we didn't do anything wrong ... except maybe Jason and we can cover for him. But that gang attacked us, we were just defending ourselves."

Hope looked at the two girls that came back to the scene. They must have heard the commotion and decided to come back to help. "They're okay, for now, but need treatment. I don't think we should try to hide."

((I was wondering my character could try to heal the wounded, but instead of healing she would take on their suffering instead. What do you guys think?))

Scarlet arrived at the vaccated warehouse. She opened the door and plopped onto the first old beaten down couch she could find. "Ahhhhh." She let out in agrivation. "That darn traitor!" She said throwing a pillow against the wall. "The next time I see all those brats, I'm not holding back. I'm just gonna kill them all." She said with revenge in her eyes."

Aiden heled an ice pack against his head and watched as Scarlet took her anger out on the poor wall. Lucky for the wall her weapon of choice was a pillow. He wanted to say something to help Scarlet, but he was afraid that she might decide he was a more useful outlet than the wall.

However, he did share her feelings. He couldn't believe that Jason turned on them like that. After all they'd been through together. Sure, they hadn't made uch effort to save him from the cops, but he figured that was the way gangs were. You don't turn on your own though.

"I agree, Hope; we should wait for the ambulances to arrive, they will be able to help more than we can." said Peta. Another chill hit her, causing her to shiver with the cold. "We will stay her and wait with you guys."

Craig and Treena walked around the streets a bit before going to the hangout. Craig wasn't ready to deal with the aftermath of the fight yet. He mostly didn't even talk to his cousin as they walked either. They eventually walked around enough to end up back at the warehouse. Craig stopped Treena before they went in.

"Hey, Treen?" he asked rather meekly.
"Yeah, what's up cuz,?" she responded.

"Well, I guess Flame turned against us or something, cause he was fighting us with those FBI kids. What do ya' think about that?"

"He's a traitor, plain and simple. Anyone who turns on family like that deserves to die. He'll get his in time, don't you worry about that."

"Yeah, I guess. Hey, you go on in, I'm goin' walk around, maybe go home Ma will probably be missing me." They both knew that was a lie, neither of his parents noticed him if he were gone or at home. But Treena let him go without protest. She knew this fight had been hard on him, he needed a lot of growing up and toughening up to go through.

Treena walked into the warehouse alone and saw everyone there recovering from their wounds. She hadn't been hurt much. Whenever she had tried to jump into a fight, there was someone already there with better powers than her own. Against a normal human, her power booter ability gave her enough strength to overpower them but it was nothing against another mutant.

"Well, that was fun," she said sarcastically as she looked around at who was there. "Whose great idea was that and why was I left out of the plan? Hmm, next time we do that, whaddya say we win, k?" Everything was a joke to Treena.

Aiden stood up, angry at Treena's mocking behavior.

"You think this is a game?? We let a bunch of freakin' goody-two-shoed, government kiss-up, traitorous, amatuer mutant kids kick our butts. You think that's funny?? No!! You know what I think would be funny?? Us kicking their stupid little butts into the next timezone!!"

Aiden was now right in Treena's face.

"Go ahead, laugh at us again. I dare you."

He bagen to turn away, then he whipped back towards her.

"Besides, what use were you in that battle?? What purpose and end did you serve?? How were you useful??"

He stared right into her eyes. Usually he didn't like to be mean, but he was in a horrible mood and needed someone to blame for it.

Scarlet gathered herself, and stood up off of the sofa and over to Aiden. "Calm down." She said in a relaxed voice. "If you want to start something, take it out of here." She said in a more harsh voice.

"now we can point fingers and mop around all we like, but that wont do us very much good. Soon everyone else is going to be back, and he," she said reffering to the gangs mysterious leader, "will want to know how everything went down. "
She sighed " I dont know about you, but I dont want all the anger of our failure to be focused on us. So, we give him someone else to blame. We all know that we had underestamated, our apponent's ability and I assure that wont happened again. But the truth is, if Flame hadn't showed up, we would have won, and those pests wouldn't be ab issue anymore. " Scarlet watched the expression of the faces around her. "I dont think that traiter are much appreciated, do you?" She smiled as she gave up the floor.

"Well, we did betray him first, but he was just too clueless to figure it out. This kinda of a life is ment for some and not for others. He had been wanting to leave almost since he joined. But none the less he deserves whatever is coming to him." Scarlet said.

Vanorah didn't know whether to be relieved or disappointed at having her offer turned down. She was relieved that it wouldn't be necessary to use her power in front of so many strangers, something her father and drilled into her not to do. Conversely she was disappointed because she'd wanted to prove, if only to herself, that she could be useful.

While they waited she made sure she stayed close to Peta, jumping and looking around nervously at every strange sound and wanting nothing more than to find a nice deep river or lake to hide in.

Right about then the door opened and a very tired Constantine slipped in. Voice rougher than usual with fatigue, "I agree." Sinking wearily into a chair he grinned coldly,"At the moment he's wounded, I saw to that. How badly I don't know but at least he didn't get away scot-free."

Eyes narrowed and radiating anger, "I don't care who takes out Flame but the flyer is mine!" Constantine was not used to being challanged in the air, and having to admit he hadn't been able to take her out galled him. In any other, his current mood would have been called sulking and looked rather silly. Not him however. It was more like brooding and just made him appear more dangerous than usual. Woe to the next person to cross him as they'd receive no mercy whatsoever.

Treena just stood there while Aiden yelled in her face. Her whole point was to get someone worked up, but hey it was just too easy right now to be any fun. Everyone was already mad that the lost the fight and she was mad that she hadn't been there from the beginning. But now there was the future to think about.

Once Aiden sat down, Treena grabbed a soda from the cooler and plopped herself down on the floor. She wasn't much of one to use furniture.

"Betrayal or not, he still turned on us and he knows good and well what happens to anyone whose against us. We need to do it fast too, before someone else decides it's better to be against us than with us," she looked toward the door of the warehouse thinking about what her cousin might be pondering right now.

"As much fun as it would be to just take him out, I think it would so much more fun to make his so called friends that he has now turn on him. We need to set him up, make it look like he's gone back to his old ways, our ways, and get him kicked out of that worthless school. I bet the FBI is already keeping a close eye on him considering his record."

Hope looked up as she heard sirens rounding the corner. Of course the police got there first. For the first time she noticed a few people peering out windows but stayed low to the floor or behind walls. There were now a few police cars on each side of them and the officers jumped out and stood behind their car doors with guns drawn and pointed at the group.

"Everyone Freeze! Get on the ground!" they yelled.

Hope thought about how it must look to them, it looked like there was still trouble going on. They couldn't tell that everyone left was together and everyone from the opposing side had left.

She put her hands up overwhelmed at the sudden change in the situation. She called back to them, "we're on the same side. We need doctors!" She then started lowering herself to the ground as the police had commanded.

Mark slipped into a shadow inside the hangout just in time to hear Scarlet say "...deserves whatever is coming to him." he slipped over to the sofa and and sat down. he didn't really want any attention drawn to the fact that he hadn't been much help in the fight, so he sat relatively quietly and listened to the conversation. He wasn't really too passionate about getting back at Flame, though he would go along with it for the principle of the thing. for the moment he stayed in the background and did his best to be ignored.

Caitlyn had just managed to get to her feet, with Jason, when she heard the sirens. careful not to lose her balance she turned around to see the police jumping out with guns aimed their way and hear yells of "Everyone Freeze! Get on the ground!"

Connor lowered himself to the groundbeside Samantha just as the police had ordered. If the circumstances had been different, he might have found it amusing the the police were worried about weapons or runners. Didn't they know that they could easily take them out without much trouble?? Not that any of them would, but still...

He watched as the others slowly lowered themselves onto the ground, glad that help had finally arrived.

Peta reached over and grasped Vanorah's hand as they lay on the ground. She gave it a reassuring squeeze and let go, but let her hand lay near Vanorah's. She had quieted her breathing to be able to listen to all the other things going on around her.

((I was waiting for everyone to check in, but I guess we can assume that everyone on the scene is either on the ground or unconscious and on the ground.))

Hope stayed where she was as the police approached until they one started putting handcuffs on her and reading her rights. "You can't do this! We're the victims here, we need help." The police were used to gang violence around here and they just saw it as two gangs fighting, no victims.

Hope couldn't decide if she should tell them that they were FBI or not. They would find out eventually, telling them now might let them off the hook a bit or it might get them in more trouble for behaving like this. She looked around at the others, she couldn't make a decision on her own when it would affect all of them. Maybe one of the others would say something. "Do we tell them?" she asked alound hoping they'd understand what she meant.

Caitlyn watched the police coming towards them and got steadily madder. none of this was their fault and they should not be getting in trouble for it. on the upside, her adrenaline went up again. she was about to start yelling when Hope's quiet "Do we tell them?" reminded her that she wasn't the only one there. "May as well try." she answered "if they manage to get their little brains running long enough to listen it would probably save us a jail trip." she was being rude, and she knew that was stupid, but she was mad, and self control had never been her strong suit.
