You think? Agh, they stink!

Aeryn felt self-conscious now that she was meeting other mutants for the first time. Would she measure up to their standards?
She didn't know, but was willing to take the risk.
The one holding the fireballs in his fists was Harper, as she guessed from something the other, female mutant had shouted towards him.
"Look! Harper!" She'd shouted, as Aeryn had dropped from the fourth floor. The explosion of the bomb had drowned out his reply, but she would find out her name later.
Aeryn stopped a few feet from them, and looked towards the building. "Hello." She said softly, and then seeing their blank looks, "I'm Aeryn...a telepath."
"Oh." She'd heard from the woman, who was hovoring a few feet off the ground, her powerful wings making a constant breeze that ruffled the hair that had escaped from under Aeryn's FBI cap.
Harper didn't reply, and she followed his eyes to see a group of four mutants burst out of the research building, wielding all manner of weapons and some powerful abilities.
"I'll take the left!" Shouted Harper to Jenn, who smiled and replied,
"I'll take the right!"
Aeryn felt a random streak of laughter work its way through her. "I'll take the two middle ones!"
The other mutants glanced at her strangely but dove for their opponants.
Aeryn shrugged and slammed a telekinetic fist into the face of one mutant who was hydrokinetic, causing his battering ram of water to dissipate into a harmless mist.
She lifted the other, molecular manipulator, high into the air, where she dropped him, effectively knocking him out.
The hydrokinetic came back for another go, and she wrapped a telekinetic net around it, and drew it tight. The mutant swiped at her with a wave, which she dodged and hit the awakening molecular manipulater with another slam that would give him a headache for months.
She ran forward and telekinetically grabbed the trident the hydrokinetic was using, and she swung it, splintering it on a nearby brick wall.
She then spun and planted her fist in the middle of the mutant's face, leaving him gasping for breath through a broken nose. She swung again, this time knocking him out with a knock from the butt of her pistol.
She telekinetically dragged them away from the building, and they were bound with power-proof ropes.
She turned to see the others coming back, having easily finished off their opponants, quicker than she.
