I've been downloading mods for TES IV: Oblivion recently. Any good ones out there? Oh, and if you mod Oblivion as well, name some of your favorite mods.
OK, I love modding.
Do get:
Kvatch Rebuilt
Exnem's Eyecandy
Goddess Store
Avariel race mod
Playable Dremora
Grand Vampire Experience
Red Sorceress Outfit

Those are the mods I have.:)

Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul. It allows for so much better RP, if you're into that sort of stuff, and just in general makes the world so much more believable.

Also I like the tiny hud mod (that's not what it's called, but I can't recall the exact name at the moment) along with btmod are awesome. btmod makes your inventory and the like be a reasonable size for a computer screen, removing the massive 6 items on the screen style that is far more conducive for a TV 10 feet away. The tiny hud mod (or whatever it's called) makes the little hud icons very tiny and fade when you don't need it, giving you a much better view of the screen and also improves RP, again, if you're into that sort of thing.

There are a number of other mods I have, but I can't recall all of them right now. I can make a list once I get back to my room, though.

Never heard of the grand vampire experience one. You'll have to PM me a link so i can check it out.

Currently, I have a ton of mods, but here are a few I am using or have yet to explore thoroughly:

M.O.E. - Lichcraft and Lycanthropy (It's part of a large modpack, with M.O.E. in front of every mod in taht group.
M.O.E. - Main Quest Delayer
M.O.E. - Vampire Clan Raelu

And one that is turning into my favorite so far as far as storytelling goes:

Tears of the Fiend (Which combines The Legacy and The Butcher of Armindale, and also includes a third part to the story, Redemption).

Very very interesting indeed.

I have it for the 360, so the only mods I can get are the official ones. Shivering Isles is awesome though!

Isn't it, though? And yah, only ones for 360 are the official ones, which I'm not so sure I can get (with Vista, anyways.) But some of the mods I have are really good.
Oh, and a tip for getting Sneak to Master level.. it only takes a couple of hours or so.. if you have Sneak as a Major Skill, that is.
Pick a corner, like in Bruma (I used a corner where people don't pass by too much by the stairs, behind some houses), and if you have the ability for autorun (PC only, I think... not sure) then you point him in teh corner to where he can't move, sneak, and do autorun. Then go eat or something as he levels.
My friend uses the 360 version and gave me that idea, though he did it in teh beginning cell, by getting on a table or something, and the chair, I dunno... but he got Master level as well.

THEY SHOULD HAVE A MOD WHERE YOU CAN WEAR HIS OUTFIT!!!!!!
They have one with his gunblade in it, after all. I think it's called "Maddogs Fantasy Mod" or something like that.

I haven't started teh Nine line yet. It's teh hassle of going to all those shrines, when my character just wants to be bad... BAD, I TELL YE!!!
Plus, I just got invited to help out with a mod... I can't say anything about it, since it's all hush hush.... But I wrote an in-game book for it (which those aren't very long, more like a short story), and he liked my work. SO now I gotta read up and then he'll decide what I'll be working on.
Cool, huh?

Good idea! :)
Here's another I read about....

The followers of Peryite can take an infinite amount of damage if you haven't done teh quest for that statue yet. And you don't get a bounty for attacking them!
So you can level up:
Blunt
Blade
Marksmanship
Destruction
Any other attacking skill thing you might have.

Not so sure about other skills, but definitely the ones I mentioned.
Just... don't do the statue quest... if you don't wanna lose your training dummies, that is.

On the 360 there is no auto-run, but you can just do the same thing by strapping the joysticks down with a couple of rubber bands so you keep running in a circle.

Ooh. I will have to look into it.

The sleeping prisoner in Deepscorn Hollow is a good training dummy, too.

I don't have that downloadable content, though. If i did that would be very convenient.
I was also reading my guide, and apparently there are two things you can WATCH to raise some of your skills up.
One would be those two that spar with each other in teh Arena district... you know, the hand to hand people who say they are "training to be in the arena". Apparently, by watching them long enough, it says you pick up a few tips and your hand-to-hand is raised by 5!
There's another in one the Fighter's guilds where you can increase your block skill by doing this, too.
