must....have....nutella!

Ok, to put it plainly I love nutella but the stores here don't sell it and I just can't afford shipping on getting it from "specialty" shops.

Anyone out there know a recipe for nutella or at least something close to it?

Oh, and perhaps vegemite and marmite too?

I'm honestly desiring to find a way back to NZ and AU just for the yummy spreadables.

I have to confess, this is the first time I've ever seen "vegemite & marmite" and "yummy spreadables" used in the same sentence!

Good luck in your quest. I'm betting you'd have to have a seriously strong food processor to get the consistency you want with homebrewed nutella. I'll keep my eyes open, as I'm a big fan of "taste-alike" recipes.

Yeah, I'm an odd bird. My husband tasted Vegemite when he was visiting Hobart in the service. He can't even say the name without a shudder.

Nutella would be very expensive to make cause of the hazelnuts... are you sure you can't buy it? We get it in all of our stores around here in Houston.

I love nutella too! It seems to be with the peanut butter in the grocery stores -- I've never had a hard time finding it. I'm addicted to the stuff!
