Certainly the government shouldn't care about what messages a private company wants to suppress or promote on its own platform. But it still sounds like that's on the GOP's first order of business when they take control of the House.

And I'm getting whiplash from seeing some conservative opinion-havers zig from wanting moderation on social media platforms fixed by the government because private companies shouldn't be allowed to decide who uses their platforms now zagging over to 'who cares if private companies decide who uses their platforms?'

Private companies deciding to let the government control it, is different matter. Similarly, the hunter biden investigation is not just about Hunter, it is about Joe Bidens involvement it it.

I would not have any issue if Elon Musk chose to sue Jack Sweeney. That is his right and his prerogative.

A person suing does not determine whether or not a practice is frowned upon, however - at least for anyone other than the plaintiff.

Reporting on a "story"..? Tracking someone's every move, and publishing it on the internet is just a "story" to you..? I would call it harassment, and any EU commission that supports that kind of harassment should allow a real-time navigation of their own whereabouts, so that they can be tracked, as a sign of goodwill and encouragement for such things if they truly believe in it... My best guess is that they actually don't.

...Why is that? That something potentially illegal should be allowed on social media? Why not consider that 'the jury has already spoken', in regards to Twitter? No republican that I'm aware of, has ever advocated for the advancement of potentially illegal material on Twitter. So I'm not really seeing a valid 'gotcha' point. I think this is just more vitriol being thrown at Musk because he's not a left-wing Democrat? Which is mere tribalism at play?

Doesn't tell you who is in the plane (even if you know who owns it). Doesn't tell you where they go after the plane lands. Everytime I've seen the "general aviation" planes at the airport there was a chain-link fence in between.

Anything is worthy of a lawsuit. There is nothing preventing you from suing anyone at any time for any reason. No guarantees you'll win though.

Suing someone, even successfully, does not make what they did illegal. Winning a lawsuit just means that the judge believes that you have been harmed in some way by the party you're suing.
