I'm actually quite interested in watching the next Impeachment hearing, when one comes along.
Impeachments are about "high crimes and misdemeanors", but if nothing is illegal for the president then it is impossible for him to commit crimes. So..... does that mean impeachment is no longer a thing?

Not that any USA president has ever been removed through the impeachment process. So probably no big difference.
Why bother. The people seen the bad things, that Trump did. And they still elected him. They don't care.

This is what USA voted for.

The elites and oligarchs are taking over now. Getting rid of watchdogs, ethics, taking over the DOJ and controlling who gets investigated and who doesn't, reducing taxes for the wealthy, getting rid of regulations, withdrawing USA from the world, presumably so that the oligarchs can get their hands on the money.
I'm pretty sure Americans are being lied to, from the Fox News Channel and other right wing news. I see a lot of lies coming from Trump supporters. They have no idea. What you said, is what they voted for.

After all, HIV clinics across Africa were shut down last week......I'm not sure if they are re-opening (does SoS Rubio consider them "life-saving"?).
That not very pro life. When all these kids and family members start dying. Since they're not getting meds.

I think the mainstream media is bought and paid for by the DC elitists who use it to receive favorable press, and to publish unfavorable articles intended to destroy their political enemies. I have watched this play out my entire career.

To support my claim, consider how USAID dished out millions of dollars to the far-left news outlet, Politico. Reports indicate the payments were never disclosed by Politico, and many people are claiming the money bought the agency favorable press for years.

It comes as no shock that media outlets are working around the clock to discredit the members of DOGE. How can they not — the Musk-led group is uncovering what I deem to be the largest financial crime ever carried out against the American taxpayers. With no chance of stopping DOGE from uncovering D.C.’s corruption, the only option for elitists is to instruct their media puppets to disparage the auditors. It is a futile attempt; it will NOT sway taxpayers to hate on DOGE. Let me ask what concerns you more: Discovering the politically incorrect tweets written by a DOGE auditor, or discovering who led the charge in laundering your hard earned money to foreign countries in an attempt to promote leftist agendas? I think I know your answer.

We've already discussed this in other threads. Those "reports" are nonsense. The federal government bought some of its employees subscriptions to Politico's paid "Pro" news service:

The reports are not nonsense. What gives the Federal government the right to buy those subscriptions from Politico? Why did they think that was necessary? How many subscriptions were bought by the Federal government?
Why should the federal government buy news subscriptions services for any federal employee?

You know those newspapers, magazines and websites that want you to pay for them to read them? Well, institutions also have to pay if they want to read - companies, governments, universities, non-profits, etc.
Why should the federal government buy news subscriptions services for any federal employee?
Because they need access to the content to do their jobs. The same reason they purchase computers and chairs for their employees.

What gives the Federal government the right to buy those subscriptions from Politico?
Because the federal government has the right to purchase supplies for its workers.

Why did they think that was necessary? ... Why should the federal government buy news subscriptions services for any federal employee?

Because some employees need, or can at least benefit from, the content available through paid subscription services. This is 100% normal in professional circles. My wife works for a university and gets subsidized subscriptions to big newspapers and free access to a ton of academic journals. I work in video games and, while my particular discipline isn't big on paid information services like that, we do keep up on various media, so I've got a pile of games and movies here paid for by my employer(s) (and not just the ones we've developed).

How many subscriptions were bought by the Federal government?

Your "reports" didn't tell you?

Because it's cheaper than hiring the Mission Impossible team to steal the WSJ every morning.

Are those subscriptions in your examples paid for by tax dollars or not? I don't have a problem with this idea at all IF the subscriptions are NOT paid with taxpayer dollars.

The point is that they are paid by the employer, and they are of use to people trying to do their job. When your employer is the government, it's paid for by tax dollars.

The Federal government should not be purchasing subscriptions to any news or political opinion media, in my opinion.

I've spent some time in federal facilities where the regular workers are located. There is a cash box for payment on the honors system next to the coffee pot. I've also heard of water coolers being removed because it was providing "free water" to workers. (The kind that are plumbed to the domestic water supply seem to be OK, though.)

So the people at Treasury and the SEC shouldn't have access to the Economist and the WSJ? This is just dumb.

Well, at least Trump will have to switch FOX news off.

Let the employees pay for that access if that is what they want. They are making far more than enough money to afford to do so themselves.

we're not talking about recreational reading or general news reading (like you or I would do), but specific news reporting needed to do their jobs.
