A good activity to help with this in the long term is list "faith activities" that you enjoy doing.Sometimes I can't help but feel mad at myself for being very stupid and very stubborn. I wish I'd done something about my anxiety before it got bad, or at least tried to manage it a lot sooner. I wish I'd done something before I started having annoying symptoms at night. They haven't gone away even though I've managed to reduce my anxiety some. I guess it's not enough...at least I've been sleeping better lately.
Over time you can replace the reflex of anxiety with trust in God.
It should at least lessen the load in the long term.
