  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

:hi:

I'm of Chinese, Italian and Irish descent, so that makes me Hapa (☆^ー^☆)

Most multiracial people I know are Christian...I guess we find solace by the fact that, regardless of if we are bullied and discriminated by others, Jesus loves us and created us to be different from everyone else. He made us to be unique people, who are not bound by nationality or race but only diversity and beauty.

Most multiracial people are generally among the younger generation so I'm wondering if there are any amongst us...

If you are multiracial, or know multiracial people, please share your/their stories!

Cool! That's quite diverse, I'd love to be part Native American. Well seeing as I'm Asian...perhaps I have a little Native American blood, who knows.

Lol I don't tend to use the word mutt, it is a pedigree term after all. We shouldn't see themselves as ''half this and half that''...we are whole, we are blended into a new ethnicity...

Yes that's correct. There are plenty left at least in my family but they aren't even full blooded either so its safe to say it is in fact an old tribe..

They have a museum in Mashantucket Connecticut and I follow them on twitter, Ive been wanting to visit there for quite some time. im going to go someday it would be interesting to learn more about my heritage.

I think they have a reservation there too but I would need to be a certain amount Pequot to go there Im sure.

wait, you're Asian? so am I. at times I feel like other people don't accept me for being Christian. mostly the Asian race. many of the Asians I have encountered on the street would look at me and give me unpleasant looks if I had a cross around my neck. I tend to overanalyze situations by saying do they really think that Christianity is a white man's religion and everyone should be excluded from it? how dare they?

Let's be friends, letsbefriends ^_^

To say that Christianity is a ''white man's religion'' is utterly ludicrous. First of all Christianity came from Asia, the western influence attributed to Christianity came about because Saint Paul travelled to Rome to convert more gentiles. The Muslims pretty much got rid of Christianity in the Middle East, thus Europe became the main area for Christians.

However Christianity still penetrated elsewhere. For example the Nestorians went to China and converted many. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church is one of the oldest Christian bodies in the world. European colonialism did contribute to the rise of Christianity in the Americas, Africa and East Asia; but the great majority of conversions have taken place recently.

The fact that the Catholic Church has a South American Pope shows that the world is shifting. More cardinals are not white, and thus many of the votes were given to Bergoglio (who became Pope Francis). Christianity in western Europe and North America is falling, while it is booming in most areas of the world.

I am quite sure that if there is no revival in the west, most Christians will be non white (the great majority of Catholics are already not white).

I wish many people who call themselves christian would stop being rasict because that being hpycroties they only want to hear what they want. They teach one thy neigbor but don't pratice it.

I would really hope if the matter of race became more significant among Christians. The fact of the matter is that racism is inherently sinful, because it is basically judging a person based on the colour of their skin or shape of their eyes. Such things are an example of idolatry, for you see race as a driving factor behind the relationships Jesus taught us to have.

Jesus Himself preached against racism. The Parable of the Good Samaritan can apply to anyone, of any race or faith. Jesus taught that anyone can do good, even if they were different from you. At the time the Israelites and Samaritans hated each other, just like how the Indians and Pakistanis, or North and South Koreans. Jesus still taught that a Samaritan could show love to his fellow Israelite neighbour.

This is why recently Hamid Ansari (vice-president of India, a devout Muslim) said that if all politicians could follow the teachings of Jesus, there would be world peace and prosperity for all.
