Are you suggesting TLK Valentine knew what Ali thought, felt and believed?
You don't have to be here if you don't like the question....Lazy.
Do your own work.
So you are saying that the racist remarks that he made (and have been posted on this thread) are an accurate reflection of what he believed? I have not seen anyone post anything that would contradict the posts I mentioned. Maybe you have something besides your opinion?Indeed I do -- it comes from a pair of useful skills called "reading" and "listening" to the things Ali said.
Try it sometime.
Yeah, but all us Christians are held accountable for the actions of Westboro Baptist....kinda a double standard there you think?
I agree with you yet it is precisely what is done on a regular basis on these forums; we are all a bunch of gay hating war mongering right wing gun nuts or so many non-believers would have preached. They in no way stand with WBC. There are all kinds of Christians with all kinds of beliefs: no need to tar all Christians with one brush.
That's not a legitimate argument that a soldier (or draftee) can make against going to war. A soldier doesn't get to say "I will fight the just wars, but I refuse to fight the unjust wars" that's not a valid contentious objection, according to US law and Supreme Court decisions. Why did we go to war and kill and destroy Vietnams land and people? At least his religion made him relies this was wrong.

And I rest my case......Consider yourself quote mined!

Christians obey the Scripture and it's teaching. For example, the Bible calls homosexual behavior, sin. There is no getting around this fact. That's not true. For example I know many Christians who have no problem with (for example) gays.

What the Bible does not advocate is the hateful actions and speech toward sin that Westboro Baptist espouses. You cannot find anyplace in the Bible where such action or speech is promoted by God.
If Christians were to condemn all sin it would result in our own condemnation. No, Satan is the accuser, Christians are to display the grace of Christ Jesus, not the condemnation of Satan.
That being said, no one knows they need God's pardon if they don't know they have broke God's commands. Christians must speak this truth, but always follow this with the truth of God's means of reconciliation and pardon.
So you saying we can destroy country's for no reason at all. Poor orange agent stuff all over their land. Kill their people and cause their babies to be deformed. And its bad because some feels it's wrong to not fight against that country. I'm not sure why the US wasn't charged with many war crimes. I have no idea what the US laws have to do with the bible or Karan. To me a persons religion or morals would supersede a war. Oh and the government seen the same thing and left him alone. That's not a legitimate argument that a soldier (or draftee) can make against going to war. See Gillette v United States which is a case decided against two draftees who argued that they were not opposed to war in general, just Vietnam specifically.
The Bible speaks for all Christians. Read it. The Bible is very clear that homosexual sex is sin. These are facts that are undeniable.No.
Do you speak for all christians?
No, that is not what was said. That is you showing your personal disdain for the Vietnam war. Your opinion is fine, but the statement you reference has nothing to do with your personal conclusions. So you saying we can destroy country's for no reason at all. I am sure they don't but I have never seen anyone when confronted with the scriptures against homosexuality be able to show any scripture that refutes that position. They offer their opinion, feelings, legal rulings, etc.....but no scripture; the only thing they can do is simply disagree with it ......because.........Do all christians agree with your interpretations of the bible?
