Mt. Sinai Search

The movie: Search For Mt. Sinai -Mountain Of Fire is on DVD and is really great and informative. I rented it at the local library and we have found it a real blessing. I highly recommend Christians get it and invite friends to view it with you. It is an expedition by Bob Cornuke and Larry Williams to Sinai and Saudi Arabia to see the famous mountain where God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses. The pictures are very revealing. They had to sneak into Saudi Arabia to get to it, since the government there will not give permission for one to go there.

It might be available at Amazon.com if one would like to buy it ---well worth having for one's home library.

Secular history shows Mt. Sinai as a mountain in the place chosen by Helena, the mother of the Emperor Constantine, to be the location of where Moses received the tablets, but many researchers over the years have said it does not meet the Bible description. The RC religion has promoted it as there and the secular world as just accepted that.

One will find a blessing in seeing this movie.

Helena's Sinai never made sense to me since the Mount of God upon which Moses encountered YHVH (the Angel of the LORD) was in the land of Midian. The mount she picked was still in Egypt.

Yes, that is brought out in the movie. We might note that this Helena considered herself a prophetess and said she was taught also in dreams. I understand she also set the place of Jesus' tomb as in Jerusalem (in a RC church formed and called Church of the Sepulchre). The evidence is strongly that the tomb is located at Golgotha hill (which I have visited). It is quite evident, being adjacent to Golgotha.

To sum it up, he forcibly demonstrates that the ideas propagated by Cornuke et al., cannot be correct.
