I had a wonderful experience I'd like to share. An elderly lady crossed my path that was ill and upset clinging so to her husband. I noticed a cross around her neck and asked her about it. Engraved on the front was her name and on the back her husband's name. She shared with me that the cross was made from their 1st spouses wedding bands. How precious that they wanted so to include their loved ones in their new union, which to date is 20 plus years.

That is neat and it is a good way to include those we have lost, into our new lives.. I kept my ring and it's in the drawer by the bed ( I have not figured out what to do with it yet) but I gave Patsy's ring to our daughter, who wears a lot of rings. She asked for it when we went through her mother's stuff and I found no reason not to give it to her. The way I look at life right now, is that I will spend the rest of my life alone...but then I held that conviction when I met Patsy too.... I was a confirmed bachelor....and now, 30 years later, I am back there again.... :) The Lord has His own ideas on how we are to spend our lives... :)
