Moving blues

As some of you know I am in the process of moving home but my soon-to-be new home needs a lot of work doing on it before I can move in. Well it seems to be taking forever because the workmen are either not doing their job properly or doing it properly but leaving the house in an unholy mess so time has to be wasted cleaning up after them. It is beginning to get me down because just when it seems I am making progress there seems to be yet another problem.

As I don't cope very well with stress I sometimes fear it will get too much for me and I don't want to have a breakdown. Has anyone any advice? I suspect part of the problem may be that I am a woman on my own without a partner or even a brother to stick up for me and I am not a very assertive person at the best of times. I have male relatives but they live very far away. In the meantime please keep me in prayer as I feel like I am under attack from Satan.

I'll keep you in prayer. I have moved many times in my life and know how very stressful it can get. I tried to do things in steps. I made a list of everything I needed to do and did it little by little. So sorry that the workmen are leaving a mess. I have been on my own for a long time and have had to do everything myself, too. Keep posting about what you need. Hopefully you will get lots of support here.

Hi there my dear sweet loving sister,
I am praying my heart out for you sis.
I have a story for you. We had an awful leak in the room I live in. The landlord called this one roofer to come and fix it (this was in 2013), the landlord paid a lot of money to have the roof fixed. What happened, nothing, they didn't do a good job at all!!! So the year after we got a lot of leaks in the room cause of the poor (bad) job that the roofers did. So the landlord (rightfully angry) called around to different roofers, She finally found one that was a GREAT deal (good priced) and they fixed the roof right away and did a fantastic job. So maybe, if you can get some money back from those people who repaired your home, you can find someone better.
Another thing you could do is set up some type of camera in your new home and record the people who repair your home, that way you have it all on your video camera then you can get your money back if need be. You could place the camera in a fake plant or something.

Well thankfully I am feeling a lot better today. Hopefully a couple of friends from church will be helping me clear up the mess this week ready for the decorators to go back in next year. Thanks to all who prayed

Sorry to hear about your trouble, you might need to talk to your builder about the progress and that the current situation is stressing you out.

I hope it gets resolved soon.

Thanks to all who prayed and sorry for not replying sooner. Praise God the jobs that needed doing have been done and things are looking up. God willing, I should be able to move in at the end of March/beginning of April. Please pray that things will go smoothly from here on out especially with the actual move itself.

Well it's only a week before I move in so I would appreciate prayers as it's going to be a busy week. Also pray for peace and for my 3 cats who will undergo a huge upheaval. I've done well this week in that I've only had 3 "meltdowns" LOL
