How accurate do you think the current movie ratings system (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17) is? Do you base your movie choices off of ratings to any degree, such as abstaining from NC-17 films or taking your children only to G ratings? I ask because there seems such a disparity in films with PG-13 ratings. Some are completely childish, kid centered, with nothing objectionable. Others have hints of sexuality, some swearing, etc. Do you think the system as it stands is valid and useful, or should it be revamped? If you're non-US, what type of system if any do you have for rating films?
