Well, we have really been frustrated with mice these past two years. last spring we had nine mice running around in our little house. we bought traps and killed the nine in two days. then we got cats. they did a good job. But this year we had kittens so ended up with like 15 cats - (we have 10 now). But somehow a few mice have made it past the cats into the house. the cats are all outdoors so once in the house the mice thought they were safe. My husband set traps and we've killed 3 or four mice inside this year.
Our cats don't leave us mice or bring us mice but they have left us a couple of squirl skins and tails. And they put a dead chipmunk in our dog house which i don't think our dog appreciated.

I killed a mouse last night! Muhahaha. A big fat brown mouse.
Somehow they still find a way to get in around 10 outdoor cats and 1 dog. But it didn't count on the 3 traps with yummy peanut butter waiting for it.

I need to change my vote AGAIN here.

In a way I still like mice. I also hate mice. I obviously HAVE mice.
But my cats don't bring me mice. These are selfish spoiled cats. They eat everything including vegatables. I bring them mice. This morning I took the dead mouse outside and threw it to the cats who immidiately pounced on it and one took off with it to eat it....

They also must have some sort of arrangement with my dog. One time I found they had brought her a dead chipmunk and put it in her doghouse. They left a squirl skin and tail under our house in the crawl space and another squirl skin in the woodpile.

In a way I don't mind that they don't bring me mice. I hate stepping on a half eaten mouse at 4:00 AM or having a cat deposit a mouse on your blanket in the middle of the night. At least we don't deal with that.

I was wondering where you had been. I'm still busy building our house. Been at this for almost 2 years now....
and, to keep it on topic:
I think I heard a MOUSE scurrying along the wall and by the counter last night. This morning I couldn't find the blue lighter we use to light the stove.
What in the world did the mouse do with the lighter

The last mouse we had was sometime in November (??) Lisa found one scurrying about in the washtub. I captured the creature in a glass jar - shook it up to stun it, then gave it to one of our cats for lunch!

Ok, poor poor mouse....

But then the next incident was New Years Eve. I didn't actually SEE any mice but I noticed they had chewed some stored toilet paper in the bathroom and built a nest under the shelves. I also noticed a bar of homemade soap had been partly eaten.

I sealed the crack under the shelves where the mouse got in (yes, I worked at about 9 PM New years eve!), I put 2 cats in and they went to the insulateion where mice had also built a nest. this was under the bathtub! The cats didn't catch any, so I set 2 traps. However the traps have not been visited so I believe the Lye in the homemade soad did the job for me. STUPID Mice!

...actually my dog brings me mice.

Cool!

And for those of you who hate mice, like I said after I moved 2 years ago, they may be cute but having them infest the house, scurry under the bed, chew up toilet paper to make nests, invade bags of rice, and leave their little pellet dung all over the place, I hate 'em!
So with 9 cats we only get the very rare intruder now compare to before we had cats.
And if the mice that have snuck in past all those cats can make it I have to show a little respect for that feat! But I still trap em and feed em to my cats
Muhahaha! :ebil:
