Well this lady got trouble more for a custody agreement but still..
Yes parents have the right to not vaccinate and SHOULD question every shot being given.
My husband works in the medical field. Apparently every hospital has a quota they need to meet for vaccinations.
There is this thing called herd immunity. The more people who have a vaccine, the more everyone is protected against those illnesses (people who don't get a disease, don't spread it). That's why they have a quota.
This is part of the reason doctors push it.
Yes, and the rest of the reason is that they care about the health of their patients.
It also has to do with funding from the cdc. They even pressure my husband to get the flu shot... which was the wrong strain last year anyway. Like me, he gets sick with the flu shot and refused to get it.
The flu vaccine strain last year was 60% effective. Isn't a 60% shield better than 0%?
As far as getting sick, I'd rather spend a few days nauseated than possibly kill someone, but if it's contraindicated then you probably shouldn't get it. I guess it's something to talk to your doctor about.
You need to search what the shot is for, the rate of not getting the virus with the shot, and the side effects of the shot since some can be severe even paralysis!
What about
how rare those side effects are? I'm willing to risk an 0.01% chance of paralysis if it stops me from giving a child Measles and killing them via complications of the disease.
As far as the likelihood of getting a virus... even if it's only 40-50%, that's better than no protection at all. Vaccinated people also tend to have a less severe response to a disease, if they do get it.
What is the shot for..... did you know they give the hpv shot to newborns? That's a vaccine for stds. Do we really need to worry about that? Flu shots are often the wrong strain, etc.
The HPV shot also protects girls from many different cancers that HPV can cause. I don't like cancer, so I like to protect children from it.
Another thing they do for newborns is give 4 or 5 at the same time! This means if they are allergic you don't know which one it is and some are a series. So space them out.... never do a bunch at 1 time.
Why should we listen to you, rather than the CDC, one of the world's most major health organizations? Do you have an MD? Some kind of doctorate involving virology?
The rate of not getting the virus. The whooping cough one is a good one. So now they are telling women who are pregnant to get this shot while pregnant in hopes it will protect the baby until 2 months when they can get it. Um...so you're not allowed caffine while pregnant but a shot with toxins and having your immunity in overdrive is completely okay?
The ingredients in vaccines are perfectly safe in the amounts given. We know how poisoning, overdosing, etc works for these things.
As far as stretching out the vaccines schedule goes, just think to yourself
"Which one of these deadly diseases do I want my child to remain at risk from?" and it's an easy choice for which one!
My common sense is trusting experts in areas in which I am not one. Do you tell pilots how to fly planes?
