An unproven assertion.

Giving that Polio is extremely rare, doctor is probably more likely to have a patient with an adverse reaction to the Polio vaccine than someone who actually has Polio.

Regardless of what you believe, the issue is who should make that decision. The child's parents or Big Government?

Is extremely rare in the United States where the vast majority of people are vaccinated. That is not the case in other parts of the world.

Some doctors think drilling a hole in your head will let out the evil spirits causing your headache.

The difference, of course, is that there is zero evidence for their position so it is completely irrelevant to this discussion.

Childrens rights are not subservient to the parents misinformed beliefs. If a parent is causing harm to theirs and other peoples children with ridiculous conspiracy beliefs then the government should absolutely step in and say "Nuh-uh!".

The government isn't some all-knowing authority. The government is people so what you're talking about is people (fallible people who have been wrong in the past) forcing other people to do what they want. If the people in charge of the government mistakenly thought you were harming your child, took away your parental rights, and raised your child how they thought he/she should be raised I am certain you would object to it.

Well this lady got trouble more for a custody agreement but still..
Yes parents have the right to not vaccinate and SHOULD question every shot being given.

My husband works in the medical field. Apparently every hospital has a quota they need to meet for vaccinations. This is part of the reason doctors push it. It also has to do with funding from the cdc. They even pressure my husband to get the flu shot... which was the wrong strain last year anyway. Like me, he gets sick with the flu shot and refused to get it.

You need to search what the shot is for, the rate of not getting the virus with the shot, and the side effects of the shot since some can be severe even paralysis!

What is the shot for..... did you know they give the hpv shot to newborns? That's a vaccine for stds. Do we really need to worry about that? Flu shots are often the wrong strain, etc.

Another thing they do for newborns is give 4 or 5 at the same time! This means if they are allergic you don't know which one it is and some are a series. So space them out.... never do a bunch at 1 time.

The rate of not getting the virus. The whooping cough one is a good one. So now they are telling women who are pregnant to get this shot while pregnant in hopes it will protect the baby until 2 months when they can get it. Um...so you're not allowed caffine while pregnant but a shot with toxins and having your immunity in overdrive is completely okay? You don't know if its doing something to a developing fetus. Also and keep this in mind.... there's a 34% less chance they'll get whooping cough. That's why they suggest "cacooning" everyone in contact with baby getting the shot. That's ridiculous for the risks involved!

Certainly there are amazing vaccines out there that have saved lives. My grandma had whooping cough now there's a vaccine. My mother had measles, now there's a vaccine. I had chicken pox, now there's a vaccine for my kids. Still, space them out and don't give the kid everything they recommend. Use common sense mainly.

Common sense is long gone - i.e. not common.
And so much 'spin'/ fake news/ fake "official" studies (by those who finance them and those who make billions of dollars from them) ...well.... follow the money...

Those diseases were reported wiped out.... yes..... BEFORE vaccines. NOT by vaccines....

Like Malaria and Yellow Fever in the Panama Canal Construction - by cleaning up the swamps... NOT by drugs (there weren't any yet)

But there's a hundred false reports , altered reports, destroyed reports(made the news) especially when the HEAD OF PHARMACY confessed to destroying his own companies studies: the proof his company's vaccines caused autism , in the last few years, and many before then ....

A lot is out there still - for anyone willling to look. A huge medical clinic (hmo?) in Chicago made nation wide news the last 30 years or more....
In their 20,000+ patients,
(and this was a licensed, ama, medical clinic)
they had less than 5 cases of autism ...... what's that? about 99% FEWER than other clinics in the usa ?

What did that clinic do different? They opened up their MEDICAL LIBRARY to all the prospective members .......
They let the prospective members, and members, have access to their medical library ; professional ama/cdc/fda/ medical library all the doctors use....

They let the members read there first, all that's known and proven about all the different medicines and drugs and immunizations and studies --- all at hand.

The result? Fewer cases of autism than anywhere else except among the Mennonites and among the Amish.

Regular working class and higher class and lower class citizen of the usa - members of 100 different denomations / churches/ faith groups/ no faith.

In decades, fewer cases of autism than any other clinic reported in the country - hundred or thousands fewer cases! unheard of across the country.
Unexpected in places where the members/ patients did not have access to medical libraries ...

All because once people are allowed to know..... good results just happen !

There is this thing called herd immunity. The more people who have a vaccine, the more everyone is protected against those illnesses (people who don't get a disease, don't spread it). That's why they have a quota.

This is part of the reason doctors push it.
Yes, and the rest of the reason is that they care about the health of their patients.

It also has to do with funding from the cdc. They even pressure my husband to get the flu shot... which was the wrong strain last year anyway. Like me, he gets sick with the flu shot and refused to get it.
The flu vaccine strain last year was 60% effective. Isn't a 60% shield better than 0%?

As far as getting sick, I'd rather spend a few days nauseated than possibly kill someone, but if it's contraindicated then you probably shouldn't get it. I guess it's something to talk to your doctor about.

You need to search what the shot is for, the rate of not getting the virus with the shot, and the side effects of the shot since some can be severe even paralysis!
What about how rare those side effects are? I'm willing to risk an 0.01% chance of paralysis if it stops me from giving a child Measles and killing them via complications of the disease.

As far as the likelihood of getting a virus... even if it's only 40-50%, that's better than no protection at all. Vaccinated people also tend to have a less severe response to a disease, if they do get it.

What is the shot for..... did you know they give the hpv shot to newborns? That's a vaccine for stds. Do we really need to worry about that? Flu shots are often the wrong strain, etc.
The HPV shot also protects girls from many different cancers that HPV can cause. I don't like cancer, so I like to protect children from it.

Another thing they do for newborns is give 4 or 5 at the same time! This means if they are allergic you don't know which one it is and some are a series. So space them out.... never do a bunch at 1 time.
Why should we listen to you, rather than the CDC, one of the world's most major health organizations? Do you have an MD? Some kind of doctorate involving virology?

The rate of not getting the virus. The whooping cough one is a good one. So now they are telling women who are pregnant to get this shot while pregnant in hopes it will protect the baby until 2 months when they can get it. Um...so you're not allowed caffine while pregnant but a shot with toxins and having your immunity in overdrive is completely okay?
The ingredients in vaccines are perfectly safe in the amounts given. We know how poisoning, overdosing, etc works for these things.

As far as stretching out the vaccines schedule goes, just think to yourself "Which one of these deadly diseases do I want my child to remain at risk from?" and it's an easy choice for which one!

Use common sense mainly.
My common sense is trusting experts in areas in which I am not one. Do you tell pilots how to fly planes?

Quick correction- HPV vaccination is not given until 11-12 and is now recommended for both girls and boys.

You are thinking of Hep B for the newborns, and while it is a vaccine for an STD, it is given to babies because it can be transmitted to the baby unknowingly via saliva or an open cut on an infected family member. It is a viral infection that often has no symptoms in adults and thus can go undiagnosed. However, it can be a very serious infection for an infant.
