  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Victor "Moulty" Moulton of the Barbarians (60's garage band from Boston)great drummer despite his handicap (hook for a left hand) plays great strict rhythms. There was an autobiographical song by The Barbarians called "Moulty" The Canadian group The Band(robbie robertson, rick danko, richard manuel, garth hudson,) helped with the song.

Then there's Lars Ulrich, he's not bad.

I opened this thread and told myself that if I saw this name in the thread, I'd have to jam sharp pencils in my eyes.

Thank you my friend, I'm now blind.

By talented do you mean most technically savvy or who has the most interesting drum parts? Also, should we consider a drummers live performance? Tommy Lee is amazing to watch live but is far from being a technical genius like a Buddy Rich or Carter Beauford.

Regardless, I've always been partial to Jimmy Chamberlains playing. As for being exciting to watch though he is kinda dull.

 He may be the most creative drummer and that's why I choose him. Anyone can play the drums at a fast tempo and make it sound impressive, but when the drumming is so creative that it can take your five senses straight to the plot of the music, that's pretty impressive. I love this guy.

My favorite drummer due to my parents jamming their music into my brain is Simon Kirk of bad Co. Just awesome. And there's Rush's drummer Neal Peart and Tommy Lee{MCRUE) for his cage antics, like alex van halen and john bonham too.theres alot of great drummers on this post.

Great thread!!

Sorry, but I find Mike Portnoy to be corny and a bit tasteless..

I love Jimmy Chamberlain

Danny Carey is decent

Carter is great…but I’ve OD on him

Not a slipknot fan, but Joey kills it

Buddy Rich = God

Dave Grohl always seems to be every non-drummers favorite.

I can’t believe no one mentioned Steve Gadd!!!

Anyone like Billy Ward??? My personal fav

But the best drummer out there goes to………………………

me
