So sayeth Robert Downy Jnr - 'most difficult situations will resolves themselves if you are persistent'. Firstly, I don't really know anything about RDJ, I just saw a video on FB where he says this in relation to having spent some time in jail and the struggles he was dealing with at the time. Very eloquent guy. I'm just interested in what people think about this idea, that challenges will resolve themselves if you just keep going.
What it brings to mind for me is the book of Job. From my reading of it, it seems that Job does persist for a long time but then only gets a response from God when he finally loses it, and that response is basically 'I'm God, you're not, and there are a lot of things you just aren't capable of understanding'. God then blesses Job and, it seems, he carries on with his life. Sometimes I've got around difficult situations in life by finding a way around them. As Christians, are we called to endure struggles until God provides a solution?

Scripture says that God has already heard your prayer. So the purpose of prayer is to prepare you to receive what God has already answered. God already solved your problem. Your task is to see His solution.
