I enjoy the greek and hebrew texts, the strongs kjv text, the ESV version of the Bible,
Gills commentary and ...that is about it. the rest I could take or leave. I have downloaded a fair number of others, but some are just not that useful to me on a regular basis.

Another free tool I just stumbled on that is not a part of esword, but is also free and quite cool is the interlinear scripture analyzer.

It gives an interlinear text with a very customizable feature set. The interlinear obviously retains the word order in the Hebrew or Greek so it is good for study purposes and analysis.

You have the option for the WH Greek text or the NA 27/UBS text, and it can list grammatic tags that parse verbs, etc. And since the English is right there it is faster if you forget a word than even esword. But you can also right click on the Greek/Hebrew word and pull up the Strongs info. And even those who don't know Greek could benefit from the grammar tags if they had an elementary understanding of the parts of speech.

It has a fairly limited amount of versions you can download for standard English window, but I do think there was at least one more besides the KJV.

Hey y'all!
For those who use e-Sword: What e-Sword modules have you found to be most beneficial in your Bible study? What modules (that you haven't downloaded) do you think would be beneficial?

~Tim

I have found that my Strongs is very helpful. I have used some of the others but this one has helped me the most. I love the maps as well. You might want to try the version with the Hebrew names. :holy:

Too bad it is Windows only.

Sure is... Have you checked out the Sword project? They have links to software for Mac (I use MacSword, it's great), Linux, Windows and other platforms. They also have quite a collection of bible texts, commentaries, and other books available for download. All for free!

I don't have enough posts to post links yet, but the site is [posted in the next post]

My favorites are Nave's Topical, the Strong's numbers and the parallel passage setup.

Well I use the NASB for 95% of my work. However, the YLT is my second favorite Bible. Vincent's Word Studies and Robertson's Word Pictures are my two favorite commentaries. I don't read any other commentaries. Thayer's is my most used dictionary.

If you can't tell I deal a lot with the Greek, so I'm pretty biased. The Greek texts are amazingly helpful.
