Appriciate your in put. And Jesus said the well is deep. Thanks you two for this interesting discussion. Unfortunately I am a mod moderating another forum and don't have the time to get involved with this deep theology but I am enjoying this and learning from it. That was a great post you wrote Ben12, keep them coming if you can!
I think this is one of the most facinating subjects to learn about out of the OT. I don't place much importance on tradition but when you study Hebrew tradition you start to understand why Jesus did some of the things He did and why He said some of the things He said.Appriciate your in put. Do you remember where you read that at? I am curious to look at it. Thanks.I think this is one of the most facinating subjects to learn about out of the OT. I just learned just a few days ago that according to tradition, after the high priest was done with the last sacrifice during the passover feast, when he was done sprinkling the blood on the mercy seat on the ark he always ended by saying..."it is finished"!
And what were Jesus last words? Jesus is our high priest so it was very appropriate for Him to say that.
I'm sorry LittleLambofJesus but I'm a mod and am extremely busy. I really don't have the time to get in any discussions but thought I should let you know that I didn't read that anywhere but heard this on Perry Stones weekly tv show. He was saying that while in Jeresalem studying with Jewish scholars one of the men he was studying with told him this. I wish I could tell you more but I can't. Whether it's true or not it sure would be interesting doing research on.Do you remember where you read that at? I am curious to look at it. Thanks.
No problem and thanks for starting this thread.I'm sorry LittleLambofJesus but I'm a mod and am extremely busy.
One major important fact is that the Pattern of the temple on earth, was the same pattern of the temple in heaven. With this being understood and studing the meaning of the perticular design of the temple, we can see that God had redemption as His plan even before anything exsisted. Many religious groups believe that the Tabernacle had a lot of symbolic significance to things of the New Testament, especially to things pertaining to God's plan of redemption. I do too and I'd like to discuss these things. There are many interpretations of the symbolism of the Tabernacle. The bottom line is that we don't know absolutely sure what it all means because God didn't explain it all to His prophets and to us but that shouldn't stop us from learning and to at least gain some amount of insight. One thing we do know for sure is that according to the book of Hebrews Jesus's death on the cross replaced the Old Testament sacrifices. To me that is as good as written in stone. To me it is a fact and is very pertinent to Gods plan of redemption.
I have studied this once before in the past and gained knowledge from a number of different websites as well as an indepth teaching by an evangelist named Perry Stone. I wish to put what I know and believe about Moses Tabernacle and it's hidden plans and mysteries here in this thread.
This hasn't been an area of study for me recently but I had mentioned it in another thread and a person wanted to know more on what I had to say and because I do think it is important I feel more than happy to do so. It is not only very interesting but I have gained much boldness in my faith as well as solace in knowing that God did have a plan all along.
There's alot of info to cover so I might as well get started!
The bronze altar in the outer court was 7.5 feet square and 4.5 feet high, was made of acacia wood overlaid with bronze, and had a horn on each corner. The fire on the altar was to be kept burning at all times and the daily sacrifices were offered in the morning and afternoon. Here a repentant sinner who believed in the One True God would bring in a little year old lamb without blemish to be sacrificed for their sins. They had to be there laying their hand on the little lambs head confessing their sins and then watch the life of the little lamb sacrificed in their place. So altar of burnt offering, worked on their imagination, burning the dreadfulness of sin, and the final consequences of sin and the sinner into their heart. It was telling them as it should be telling you You should have died for the sins that you have committed.Revelation 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the Holy City shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
The Temple services in the outer court are the first introductions that a sinner has to how God is going to reconcile man with Himself. Since sin can not exist in the presence of God and without God, we would cease to exist. There has to be a way made for God to save the sinner. There was a way provided that sin can be separated from the sinner. It involved sacrifice. Out of love, Yeshua volunteered before we were even created, before the foundation of the world..1 Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
...Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Sin had separated the Son from the Father. It was devastating for both the Father and the Son to be separated for the first time in all of eternity. We probably will not truly understand the incredible sacrifice our God did in dying for us until we sit at His feet and learn from Him the immense sacrifice God made. This type of devotion that God has for us, to send His Only Begotten Son to die for us, that we may live, is beyond anything that we have experience here on earth.2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
To bear the condemnation of all the sins of mankind, Yeshua showed His willingness to take the sins of the world upon Himself by being baptized by John.1 John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
Today the meaning of the basin is be washed of all our sins by believing in Yeshua and His ministry for us. Truly repentant, the Lord can save, those that seek forgiveness for themselves with the washing away of their sins as Yeshua provided in this symbolic service. If we follow Yeshuas leading, He will have us baptized three times. First is the baptism of water, then he baptize us with the Holy Spirit and finally with fire.Matt 3:13 Then cometh Yeshua from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. 14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15 And Yeshua answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16 And Yeshua, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Those of us who have been baptized, have by our baptism asked God to help us die to the old self and take on a new life in Christ. This is what Yeshua wanted his disciples to understand before they asked who gets to sit beside him on the throne.Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
The Laver of Bronze was made of bronze, it was always filled with water. In the tabernacle in Jerusalem, the priests that served in the Temple washed their hands and feet at the laver before entering the Temple. This washing was symbolic of the washing of sins off our lives before entering into the services of God. Yeshua accepted all sins passed onto Him and bore the condemnation of these sins to the cross, that we may be washed and be clean from all sinfulness of the flesh.Matthew 20:21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom. 22 But Yeshua answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able. 23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. 7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. 8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. 9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
2 Kings 18:3 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father did. 4 He removed the high places, and brake the images, and cut down the groves, and brake in pieces the brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it Nehushtan. 5 He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.
Sin separates you from God. Without God, you cease to exist. How far can you go away from God and live? We are so far from God, that we can not see Him. We are so far from God that we often wonder if He truly exists. God knows that is the way you feel sometimes. It is sin that is separating you from Him. God has no desire for you to feel this way about Him. God has prepared a way, to take sin, the stumbling block that separates you from Him out of the way.Deuteronomy 21:22 And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree:
He knew that this would happen when we wander to far away from Him. He laid out a plan, that would bring us back to Him in the only way that it can be done.Isaiah 57:14 And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.

Come close to God and see that He is good. Come closer to God and see that He is your only hope of salvation. Come closer to God and find the emptiness in your heart can only be filled with God. God is what is missing in your life. Without God, you become critical, cruel and bitter. You see everything in a harsh manner. You may not even realize how horrible you are or are becoming.Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
You were made to have God dwell within you. You will not feel whole until you let Him into your life in a real and enduring sincere way. Those with the tender heart and repentant spirit, will see the need to not sin any more, and pray that they will not. Sin cripples, and slowly destroys you. Sin sets you up to die. You need to also see that you are to sin no more.1 Corinthians 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person. You are created as a Holy Temple of God in which God should dwell.
Without God, you are spiritually dead. There is more than one death. These two deaths, a spiritual and physical death, Yeshua died each in turn.John 5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. 6 When Yeshua saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? 7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. 8 Yeshua saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. 13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Yeshua had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.14 Afterward Yeshua findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
This is where Yeshua took into his pure lovely spirit the fallen sinful nature of us all which separated Him from His Holy Father. The spiritual death came at this spiritual separation from His Holy Father. He drank into Himself who we were and, instead of saying, "My Father", He said, "My God, My God why have you forsaken me"? Yeshua was crying out in our place because God had forsaken Him who became sin for us. This was an unfair trade, one we will never be able toMatthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Yeshua cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we
might be made the righteousness of God in him.
