I noticed a couple threads on it from August and early October and stuff, but they were before I got here. So I thought I'd start a new one. I've spent probably 200+ hours on that thing (never beat the main quest though cause it got boring lol). I know theres gotta be other people here that were/are addicted to it. I don't play it anymore but I still love talking about it cause I got so into it. Anyone have any adventures from that game they wanna share?

I got the game for the computer, so it came with the editor thing. So i ended up cheating most of the time. But when i didnt cheat, i had a character level around 15 or something and he was just too powerful. I did so many quests and stuff that i made this really powerful sword that could practically kill anything in the game in like 3 hits. I still never beat the main quest because it got to boring.

ya i used the editor a lot, but i never saved any of it (not over my main game at least). i made some pretty powerful spells and swords lol (katana with 100-100 damage, disentegrate armor, paralyze, fire damage, and about a 25 foot radius hehe). but my best uneditted guy got to level 50. he was a custom class imperial, but he was pretty close to thief. ricklings are annoying because they always come in packs of 8 or something. but when i first went to sothseim (cant spell it either lol) i never went that far north, but i had a real hard time with the spriggans. now i can easily kill um without getting hit.

I finished the game with a Level 52 Dark Elf, custom Class, I got 100 in all my major skills. I own a stronghold that was given to me by Hlaalu (spelling?), I beat the main quest. And, I have a reputation of over 40 I think. And my highest bounty ever( I got bored one time and started doing felonies for fun, didn'tsave though) was over 140k, and yes, I was well hated, so I had to reload my saved game. My Dark Elf wears The Masque of Clavius Vale(spelling?), wears Lord's Mail, wields Enchanted Daedric Dai Katana, I made it myself. And the rest of my armor is Ebony. I am guild master of Fighters Guild, Imperial Legion, and the Temple. I probably spent over 150 hours on this game. Good game. GOt boring after awhile though, but I might return to it in a few months.

Aw man, I miss playing the original Arena (I was good!). I got a copy last year, but Windows 98 doesn't really know how to work it.

I played a shareware version of the second one (what's it called again?). I still have yet to play Morrowind. Is it as good as the original?

I haven't played Morrowind yet. Did anyone here play Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall? I played that for some time when I was in college. The bad things about Daggerfall were these massive randomly generated dungeons that you had to clear out for nearly every quest you were given. It was horribly tedious. You'd have to go and look at the 3-D rotating wireframe map everytime you wanted to know where you were going, or where you hadn't explored yet (though it was hard to tell where you stopped exploring unless you were looking at it just right).

So does Morrowind have less dreary quests or what? I've heard that it's not nearly so bad, but what do you folks say?

Okay, if you can't find a character that you really like, then customize your own character to how you would want it. Oh, and what is the name of the one person that once you kill him, you are warped away but he has some of the best armor and weapons. I got a weapon from him before this happened, an awesome one. Can't remember his name though. And, the missions can be boring, but no more randomly generated dungeons that you have to clear every mission.

For some reason, that game got depressing.
I ended up killing one of my main allies, and thus causing to world to fall into unimaginable darkness & dispair.
(I had cheats going so no one could kill me.:D )
If it weren't for the whole death & gloom bit, it would easily be my favorite game.

Maybe you're thinking of the Daedric lords, doesn't quite sound like it though cause theres a lot of those. I had a shield (that I made without the editor, it was actually legitimate) that would summon one everytime you put it on, so I could just summon one, kill it, and if you hit spacebar while he was dying, you would get a Daedric weapon.

I sorta played a demo of Daggerfall but I have XP so it didn't exactly work all that well lol. Morrowinds quests are much more exciting because it has amazing graphics, and a LOT of detail. It's basically PS2 quality (maybe a LITTLE lower). There's several kinds of caves, no 3D maps, and nothings randomly generated. But, the bad guys to get a little annoying after a while. The quests don't get boring unless you can't find the cave you're looking for or something, and end up wandering in the middle of nowhere for an hour.

level 29 breton, custom class.
House Hlaalu grandmaster, currently running around the continent raiding daedric and dwemer ruins. For a long time in my game, Redoran guards would try to kill me on sight. I have a daedric dai-katana with a 50 pt. drain health enchantment that kills just about anything on sight. (X-Box, no cheating.)...
