You stone Gordon B. Hinckley, the True Prophet of God, and I swear, I will hunt you down, and stone you myself. And I am not joking.

ByGrace said:The only place that this happens is in mormon theology.
God does not back down from His will because man doesnt like it. This has been the excuse used for several problems apparent in your faith and it is completely wrong. God parted the red sea and sent plagues and many other things to show that man kind would not foil His plans. He does not just cow down to man.

So it isn't just just in Mormon theology.

Why was this not reflected later in the D & C ?emerald Dragon said:To add to my previous post. In the specific instance, (the temple in Missouri), God recanted to teach us a lesson. That we don't have to fulfill a law to be recognized for having done it, just do all in our power to do so. God does not "cow down" to man, but everything he does has a purpose.

No one here is stoning to death any one. Most are exposing darkness. To equate a poster on a forum with a lynch mob is rediculous. However, I am aware that there are some who create legends in thier own minds.Ran77 said:Jesus gave wise counsel when He instructed that he who is without sin should cast the first stone. The willingness you show to stone anyone reminds me of the mindless lynch-mobs of the past. I would be mortified to find that I fit in nicely with that group.

First of all, I didn't see where anyone said they were going to stone the false prophets of the LDS church and secondly, it is more than a little scary the vengence you seem to carry around with you.
I will be careful to make sure that if I ever offend you, I won't be meeting you in a dark alley afterwards. Geesh!

Of course I forgive you and very much appreciate the apology. Good luck on your exams.emerald Dragon said:I wish to apologize for that post. I am very stressed out lately, and I just took offense to a statment made that seemed as if an individual was thinking of hurting another. I apologize. I am very stressed out right now, as I start Local Final exams in five classes tomorrow, and next week I have to take six AP tests. I haven't gotten much sleep, and I am a little more emotional than usaual. Hopefull this wil make you feel safer, but I wouldn't actually attack anyone. I hate violence, unless I am being directly attacked, and then I only do it to defend myself. Again I am sorry. Please forgive me.
