No, because you have blinded youselves to the truth of moral and ethical evolution and darwinian evolution.
First of all, the theory of evolution accepted by evolutionists today, is a far cry from Darwin's theory. It's been added to and has evolved itself, like any theory does.
Secondly, there are Christians who believe in evolution, and are just as Christlike as those of us who do not. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ, united by God.
Thirdly, if the world lived according to your much beloved evolution, there would be no love and compassion. It's survival of the fittest, those who are weak get trodden on and marched over. There is no tolerance, no love, no acceptance. Nature is brutal and cruel as much as it is beautiful and wonderful.
God provides absolute moral grounds, of love, compassion and acceptance. All He demands is that we follow Him, and draw close to Him, in order to maintain those laws and morals. As without God, without love, we have nothing.
1 John 2:10
"Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble."
1 Corinthians 13:3
"If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing."
When we draw away from God, we draw away from the light, we lose love and we are filled with nothing - we inherit nothing.
if you understood these facts you wouldnt need and ancient book to understand that killing is wrong,
If you understood what was written in scripture, you would understand killing to be wrong for the simple reason that you would not enjoy being killed, and that the Bible reveals God's commands for you to love your neighbour as you would yourself. It makes sense, you don't want to be killed, so you should not kill others.
Even without the Bible you understand killing to be wrong from your
God-given sense of morality.
and you would understand that abortion and euthinasia are products of a complicated society
If you understood scripture you would realise that the world is fallen, that death and disease are a result of sin and that sin clouds the mind and rules our lives without God to bring us salvation. You would realise that abortion and euthinasia are just murder coloured differently to hide what it truly is.
and should be tollerated if we are to develop further morally and ethically.
If we lived by God's laws, we would have no need for either. Yet we didn't we sinned and we bear the burden of that. We can help ourselves even now. We can embrace God and His salvation and uphold His laws. We could abstain from sex before marriage, abstain from hateful crimes such as rape that could lead to pre-marital pregnancy, yet we don't we sin, and we construct new ways to deal with the effects of our sin, so we can keep on sinning.
You would understand that going to war against terrorism is a disguise for going to war for a religion and against other religions.
If you understood scripture, and knew God you would see war for what it is, instead of what you want to see it as.
Sin clouds the mind and distorts clear thought. You see through clouded eyes and judge where you have no right. You think we don't see the horror of the world? Somehow being Christian makes us immune to it, that it's all roses and wondeful lives.
Truly, if you feel we are are so lost, then why are you here? What is it to you if we live our lives and die and return to dust? Why does it matter?
It's odd that I find we are looked down upon, when
the very worst that can happen to us is that we live a good life... Personally I can't wait to meet God, to receive an eternal body and get answers to all those questions I had, and to finally not have to fight my body against sin. Sounds like heaven... oh wait, it is Heaven.
Cheers,
Digit
