I am curious about how people here feel about Mormonism. I discussed Mormonism many times on Religiousforums.com, but i wonder who do you feel about it what do you see it as?

It's a cult founded by a convicted felon who claimed to have gotten it by looking into a magic hat.
They worship a completely different Jesus and cling to laws and rituals for their salvation.
It's Unbiblical and is leading countless millions to Hell.
Of course, ChristianForums now considers it to be just another Christian denomination.
Have you ever witnesses to a Mormon missionary? It's pretty easy. They go by a script and once you get them off the script, they have no answers to defend Mormonism.
Once you get them into the law and the hopelessness of man trying to earn his own salvation or becoming a God, it's pretty easy.
It's sad in a way because some of them are there because they do have a zeal for God. Many more are there because it's expected of them, but those who are there because they believe they're serving God make great Christians once they get saved and out of Mormonism.
When I lived in Moorestown, NJ, our church was right across the street from the Mormon church and it was a very Mormon population so we got to talk to a bunch of them.
We led a bunch of them to Christ and I had a good friend from Pennsylvania who led so many of them to Christ (although, not from that church), that they actually wrote him a letter and asked him to stop taking their members away.
I believe Mormons sincerely want to be in a right relationship with God, but are just deceived.
Just remember when you talk to them to focus on the law, man's hopelessness of obtaining salvation through works and rituals, and the cross. Try not to get into "holy underwear", the Mountain Meadows Massacre, or polygamy, as these things tend to put them on the defensive and will only distract from the Gospel.
It's fine to get into them later on if the Mormon brings it up, but try not to when sharing the Gospel.

They believe Jesus isn't God, and that He and Satan are brothers. It's so deeply, irrevocably heretical it defies words.

Also, The Mormon Book isn't the inspired Word of God and they read this book in addition to the Bible. If they chopped off the Mormon Book from their religion would it save millions from deception.

They distort who Jesus is and who God is. Their "holy texts" outside of the Bible have been proven to be forgeries (the Book of Abraham) or were otherwise debunked such as their claim that Jews made it over to South America. They have also taught that you are a son of the devil because of your dark skin.

Yes, theses are all good viewpoints. On the last site I went to (religiousforums.com) there were about 5 Mormons there who bashed me telling me i was wrong about challenging their beliefs. They said no other religion had anything wrong with them, just their Christian brothers. As a Matter of fact I got in trouble for saying Mormonism was a Sect, and another Christian got banned for converting a Mormon to Evangelical Chrisitanity.
As far as I've Expericned they make up excuses for everyting, by saying "that's not official doctrine" to "that's not what we beleive"- when of course, their founders say that it is.
Are there any Mormons on this site?

Yep, and people still want to beleive that the Mormon Church is the Revived Church. I even posted quotes of Jospeh Smith who called all other Christians the harlot of Babylon, and that they were going to hell...of course they denied it and said everyone can go to heaven (one of the levels)...which of course is not biblical.

I think it's in the Congregational section. If you do go, be sure to read their forum wiki. I'd imagine they've locked it up *tight* against non-Mormons.Can anyone post the link to their forum here, i want to pay them a visit

Yes i saw a Video that said that the spirit Childred who didn't fight were cursed with dark skinned, and theses are mainly the african and Indian cultures. Sounds stupid to me....why would God curse us for not fighting? Is he not the God of Peace?

They do use Genesis 9-10, but it's really based on a misreading that is so bad, it might as well qualify as a non-reading. The claim is Ham was the father of the African races, and that he was cursed by Noah for his wickedness. Problem is, God already blessed Ham, Noah couldn't curse who God blessed, he knew this, and cursed his son Canaan instead - who was the father not of Africans, but of the wicked nations that God told Israel to cleanse - Hittites, Jebusites, Amorites, etc. None of his other sons were cursed according to Scripture. He probably had no other sons at the time when he sinned against his father. These other sons would be the progenitors of the Africans.

In what way? Because we don't add on to the bible? Because don't have "another testament to Jesus Christ?"
