i myself USED to be a part of the mormon church.but i soon found out that i didn't have enough money and didn't want enough kids to stay in the mormon church.it's been a number of years since i have been there but if memory serves me correctly, there was not a whole lot of reading done from the BIBLE but instead The Book of Mormon.that is another reason i left the LDS church,i wanted to learn more about Jesus than i did Joseph Smith.
BUT that is just MY point of view.take it as you may.

A CULT???? YOU CALL US A CULT??? How dare you call our religion a cult, its as recognized just as much as you are, has more correct doctrine.
We have a modern day prophet, 12 apostles, believe in baptism by immersion, also have the priesthood, ordained by the laying on of hands, as well as the gift of the holy ghost. We are organized by God himself. We are certainly not a cult, our membership is on the international level, and has well over a few million members, and over 100 temples worldwide.
A cult indeed....
How close minded are you? Just because you think you are all set in your relgion, and feel you are saved does not make you know everything.

Moroni,
Would you care to inform the less informed about a few details on Mormon history? Let's talk about the massacre of Arkansas settlers passing through Utah during the late 19th century (Surely a knowledgeable Mormon knows about this). What exactly--in Mormon doctrine--permitted the slaughter of fellow Christian men, women and children? Please elaborate because I'm a bit in the dark on this aspect of Morman practice.
Sincerely,
M
