MORE SERVER UPGRADES... Images going OFFLINE...

Hi

I am making changes to the image server - basically splitting it into a 5th web server while keeping part of it as an image server - this will resolve the image/ item/ custom avatar syncing problems, and all uploaded attachments and avatars would show straight away.

Please be aware that if you lose images it's because of this reason. This could be zero downtime or last several hours depending on DNS issues.

Just an advanced warning.

Still waiting for the techs to do some stuff on their end before I can do mine. This has not happen yet. I'll let you know when it happens - you'll probably know as the images will go offline for a while.

Okay, the image server is going offline VERY SOON for it's makeover.

Expect BROKEN IMAGES!!!

This should last about 1 hour...

The images seem to be cached quite well. The IM images are all offline at the moment... once the 5th webserver is up, things should be faster.

The image server is still down, but I'm using one of the existent web servers as the image server temporarily...

Things are going to be SLOW until I've fixed this.

I've been in front of the computer from 6 pm to 2 am last night, then 5 am until 1 pm which is now. I am working as fast as I can, and taken the day off work, to get this set up.

It shouldn't be too long!
