I have heard of it.... it is not better than nortons. If you want a decent (free) antivirus I would go for MS security essentials I have read many say it is small doesn't cause issues and updates often enough while others have had times of crashing systems (including nortons).

when I built my computer I got some dvd software with my 2 dvd burners that plays movies and stuff Nero.
