The America people give passes to senior officials once a "suitable" amount of fuss has been made over whatever issue. It happens time and time again. Sometimes it benefits Republicans, sometimes it benefits Democrats.

but what annoys me to no end is the selective memory each side has in regards to whenever these sorts of things happen.

Truth is, our elected officials on both sides of the isle routinely lie to Congress uttering those magical words "I don't recall."

Police lie and perjure themselves in court all the time and in their police reports all the time with "mistakenly remembering" events that did not happen...

So cry me a river about this Hillary email debacle. I know, it is a poor argument to point to something else that is wrong and say, "well look at how bad that is...". I just can't get worked up into grabbing some torches and pitchforks over this email issue about "what may have happened".

Someone "may" have hacked this and there "may" have been information that "might" have been leaked that "possibly" could have maybe endangered American Operatives. Yeah, I know, that is serious. But right now it is just too many maybes. And is it any surprise that a senior government official is covering it up. Even if she had nothing to hide she would and should cover it up. That is politics and that is what both sides do. So sorry, I just can't get worked up about this.

Especially when Republicans do the same sorts of things. SO meh, I don't care if it happened to a Dem or a Republican, the issue is played out and it is a losing Republican strategy to double and triple down on an issue Americans have proven not to be interested in.

So yes, move on.

And then when you lose, you can shake your heads and blame the liberal media and bask in the satisfaction of knowing you were right while everyone else around you was wrong...

If the MSM really gave the story its due, Hillary would never be president. They keep it buried. And to counter stories such as this, they release something else as a diversion tactic.

I would go so far as to observe if the FBI Director goes on the record lying about Hillary's responsibility and culpibility in her criminality in this matter, and Lynch illegally receives Bill onto her plane to discuss the case, that the leftist media isn't beyond being corrupted in refusing to report the truth.

Obama made that ridiculous endorsement of woman that has a career fraught with criminality and lies. Think about the fallout and not that Obama cares being he's not running again, on Obama for having made that endorsement on someone who would end up indicted for federal crimes when serving as his appointed secretary of state.

If nothing else comes out of these exposures of her lies as well as the obvious cover up by all concerned it will prayerfully be to tell the world what she is. Should she be elected to and sworn into the highest office come January.

Bottom line: The charges that Secretary Clinton lied to Congress are baseless. While there may be a few technical errors in her testimony, and there may be information that was discovered by the FBI after she testified, there is absolutely no evidence at all that she willfully and knowingly provided false information to Congress.

Ironically, there are more false statements in the letter from chairmen Goodlatte and Chaffetz to the Department of Justice, which are clearly intentional, than the hours upon hours of testimony given by Secretary Clinton. If these men were ordinary citizens, they could be arrested for making false statements to law enforcement. They lied and played it for a one-day headline, and in doing so performed at the level of banana-republic legislators, if not lower. Sadly their actions are consistent with the thinking of the new Republican Party leader, Donald Trump, who would be proud of their effort to “Lock her up, Lock her up.”
