If someone were morally infallible, then there would be no more evil in the world. Is this true?

The basic logic is if no wrong is done, then as a consequence all evil would be eliminated insofar as it is touched by the infallible...

Otherwise what is infallibility?

It's saying if people were incapable of evil there would be no evil. (If we ignore the devil and his cohorts). But one might as well say if we exterminate all the people in the world then evil would have been exterminated (many a science fiction scenario), but what good is that.

That is only true if that one morally infallible person is the only person to ever exist. (Or if all other persons were also morally infallible.)

Why does infallibility of one person necessarily negate every immoral act of other persons?

One could even argue that that action in itself would not be moral, if one values any sort of freedom or rights for persons who are not perfectly moral?

I have never heard of that term before. Did you make it up? I am not sure what it even means.

But if it were the case that moral infallibility removed evil, it would require EVERY PERSON ALIVE to be in that state.

And then you still do not account for the devil and his cohorts. (remember that snake in the garden of Eden?)

So I do not think it is true.

You are confusing infallibilty with impeccability. To be impeccable is not to sin. To be infallible is not to teach error. To be morally infallible is to not teach moral error. It is possible, of course to teach morality correctly but violate every moral teaching. One can teach against adultery but still be an adulterer, teach against thievery but still steal. It's harder to live a moral life than to talk about it. Infallibility does not prevent evil, even personal evil in a person who teaches exactly correctly.

That was not my guess as to how "infallibility" was used. I take it to mean incapable of making a mistake.

Which is why I asked the OP to clarify his terminology.

I can tell you none is perfect except for GOD! The Holy Bible says Jesus Christ is GOD in the person. GOD already came down and who so ever prays to Jesus Christ GOD in truth is already saved. Don't just pray and not mean it. Say something that means something to GOD. If GOD hears you say the same thing over and over you might be ignored one day

Does morally infallible also mean omnipotent?

Yes, I did wonder exactly what was meant by the term ... if it did refer to teaching, it's rather nonsensical.

I wasn't sure if the OP had in mind the Pope, for example, or Christ? Or someone else?

But I was awake in the wee smalls, so thought to reply. :)

We were not talking about being perfect, but since you raised it, Jesus himself instructed us to be perfected as our Father in Heaven is perfect.

I'm not sure what this has to do with the discussion about infallibility or impeccability.

I probably don't understand the context of the OP correctly, but I like this passage enough to post it, anyway :):

If a person carries consecrated meat in the fold of his garment, and that fold touches some bread or stew, some wine, oil or other food, does it become consecrated?’ ” The priests answered, “No.” Then Haggai said, “If a person defiled by contact with a dead body touches one of these things, does it become defiled?” “Yes,” the priests replied, “it becomes defiled.”

Then what is the quote "All is dirty as a rag." mean?

I have no idea. When I put that into the DuckDuckGo search engine the lead link was about how to clean a bathroom.

If someone were morally infallible,
You mean if he could absolutely reliably tell moral right from moral wrong?
then there would be no more evil in the world. Is this true?
Not sure how this follows. Please insert the missing logical steps, for clarification.

The basic logic is if no wrong is done, then as a consequence all evil would be eliminated insofar as it is touched by the infallible...
I´m sure you want to tell us something important, but as it reads there it doesn´t make any sense at all, to me.
How does "no wrong is done" follow from " someone is morally infallible", how does "all evil is touched by the infallible" (and what´s that actually supposed to mean?) follow from "no wrong is done"?

Otherwise what is infallibility?
adjective
1.
absolutely trustworthy or sure:
an infallible rule.
2.
unfailing in effectiveness or operation; certain:
an infallible remedy.
3.
not fallible; exempt from liability to error, as persons, their judgment, or pronouncements:
an infallible principle.
4.
Roman Catholic Church. immune from fallacy or liability to error in expounding matters of faith or morals by virtue of the promise made by Christ to the Church.

Are you talking about "all our righteousness is as filthy rags"?

That is talking about the "value" of our works in the eyes of God as far as "purchasing" our redemption. The most righteous works we can possibly do are not of the standard that could do that. It's meant to explain the impossibility of our works as being acceptable to justify us in themselves.

But they are not actually worthless ...

They serve to mold and change us, they may be if benefit to those we labor on behalf of, they can give glory to God when He is seen as the source of our good works, and so on.

We just can't redeem ourselves with them, outside of Christ.

‘Iṣmah or ‘Isma (Arabic: عِصْمَة‎‎; literally, "protection") is the concept of incorruptible innocence, immunity from sin, or moral infallibility in Islamic theology, and which is especially prominent in Shia Islam.

Nice thoughts about impeccability etc.
There is a quote along the same lines, like 'cursed are scholars by words, blesses be scholars by deeds...'
