Yup.

We are God's adopted children.

Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

I guess God adopted the angels also...because you believe sons of God are angels also and nephilim.

Angels being sons of God is pure hollywood movie doctrine....it's not biblical.

I guess you're wrong.

There are three types of sons of God:

  1. begotten -- (John 3:16)
  2. created -- (Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7; Luke 3:38)
  3. adopted -- (Romans 8:15; Galatians 4:5; Ephesians 1:5)
... because you believe sons of God are angels also and nephilim.

I'm under the impression that the Nephilim are human giants.

Angels being sons of God is pure hollywood movie doctrine....it's not biblical.

Funny how they were in Genesis 6 -- long before Nimrods built Hollywood.

Are the planets also lesser lights? It occurs to me, other than the 'morning star', are planets ever mentioned in the Bible?

Jude 1:13 said:
Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

The original Greek of this passage reads: κύματα ἄγρια θαλάσσης ἐπαφρίζοντα τὰς ἑαυτῶν αἰσχύνας, ἀστέρες πλανῆται οἷς ὁ ζόφος τοῦ σκότους εἰς αἰῶνα τετήρηται.

The term ἀστέρες πλανῆται, or asteres planetai, meaning "wandering star" was the Greek term for planets, and the origin of the modern English word "planet".

You need to read the bible again, and this time pray for deeper understanding, there are some verses that are clearly going over your head.

Genesis 6:4:
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Comment: There were giants before AND after. What is renown? It means well known. Who is well known? men of renown. That means kings....mighty kings...the whole world was engulfed in violence. Read the next verses!

Deuteronomy 3:11:
For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

Comment: So this giant's bed was only 13 feet by 6 feet......the giant was probably around 9-10 feet.

1 Samuel 17:4:

And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.

Comment: So that "goliath" is 9.5 feet. There is your giant. The tallest man today is over 8 feet.

The sons of God are the saved, not the angels...not some freak creation. That is all 100% pure hollywood movie doctrine that has been brainwashing people into thiking humans and angels can mix. Unfortunetly, this weird satanic doctrine is creeping into (or is already in) most churches....people don't read their bibles so it goes unchecked.

"Father" as in our creator. There is no mother. God is eternal.

Then why couldn't whatever state the universe was in before the Big Bang be eternal? It is already undefinable by time scale, so it might as well have been.

The big bang is falsely so called science. It is not part of science, it is religion calling itself science.

Jesus existed before anyone, before the foundations of the earth were even layed. Jesus is God. God manifest in the flesh, although Jesus was born, he existed before.

So anyone who believes the word of God literally and will hold steadfast and not be swayed by every evil doctrine of this world...is a poe?

The real poes are people who believe that things which are not seen is science (like the big bang and evolution).

Do you deny that flow of electrons causes electricity?

You can't see them therefore they don't exist.....?

Silence operates by using evidence and laws and rules to interpret and infer historical events. Mankind didn't witness the formation of the Himalayas but we know about tectonics and geology to infer when and how they were formed. Do you deny the Himalayas?

In other words, your arguments and beliefs are so ludicrous, it's difficult to tell whether or not you genuinely believe them, or if you are just an internet troll putting everyone on... largely due to the absuridty of fundamentalist beliefs in general.

I just believe what God said in Genesis is literal. Even if modern "so called science" contradicts it (It doesn't), I still go with what God said.

The evening and morning was without the sun, moon, stars, and when the earth had no form and was void. God just created the "definition" of light (because darkness covered the deep waters).

Later on, he actually created the sun and the moon and divided it from the day and night (this means the sun and moon and the stars are revolving around the earth...the earth does not rotate/revolve).

The "christians" on here are too ashamed of Genesis 1 because it is "not scientifically correct". So they have to keep adding "intepretations" and "opinions" to change God's word to be scientifically correct. They have become fools leaning on their own understanding.

Another example, Nephilim is nowhere in the bible, but they have to "keep changing the word" rather than admit they were wrong about who the sons of God were. The "nephilim" is satanic doctrine, being made famous in hollywood movies, being preached by frauds like chuck missler. Nobody reads their bible, they all just believe the pastor and hollywood...that is why this false doctrine is still around.

Oh, I agree that most Christians interpret the bible to fit what they've already arbitrarily determined not to be ridiculous as well as immoral. It's pretty much why most of you Christians can't agree with each other and why there are also tens of thousands of denominations of Christianity.

Part of the reason we suspect you are a Poe is due to the degree of which you literally understand the bible as it's written in English.

The biggest mistake I've seen those who harp on the first three days of Genesis being without the sun, is they overlook the fact that {God is light}.

1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

And for lack of a better term, people use the term "Shekinah light" to describe this light.

Thus with Shekinah light bathing the earth, the earth indeed can literally have "evening and morning."

Seen from someone standing on the earth on day one of the creation week, I surmise it would appear as a white sun rising and setting.

I love to ask ultra-literalists how many times God placed Adam into the garden of Eden.

Genesis 2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

Genesis 2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

I just believe what God said in Genesis is literal.
Because?
Even if modern "so called science" contradicts it (It doesn't), I still go with what God said.
And you know that God said what was in Genesis? How do you know that?
The evening and morning was without the sun, moon, stars, and when the earth had no form and was void. God just created the "definition" of light (because darkness covered the deep waters).
OK! Now you are paraphrasing Genesis. I am pretty sure that nearly everyone reading or posting in this thread has read Genesis, probably more than once, and some have actually studied it, so you are adding nothing to the discussion.
I suspect that what you are really doing is shouting, "Look at me God. I believe it all, even if it doesn't make sense. Men gave me a book, and You gave me a brain, so I put my precious brain under a rock to keep it safe, and took literally all those parts of the book that I wanted to believe and realized all the rest was metaphor, except those parts I ignore because they are contradictory or unpleasant."
Later on, he actually created the sun and the moon and divided it from the day and night (this means the sun and moon and the stars are revolving around the earth...the earth does not rotate/revolve).
Since it is obvious we have all read or heard this before, and since there are only a few morons reading this thread, it would seem that you are wasting pixels and time. I am pointing this out to you, out of the goodness of my heart. I know it is useless, but if Francis of Assisi could preach to birds I can try to confront delusions.
The "christians" on here are too ashamed of Genesis 1 because it is "not scientifically correct".
According to the forum rules you are not supposed to cast doubt on the Christianity of those claiming that status unless, perhaps, they do not accept either the Nicene or Apostles' creeds. My own standards are more inclusive: If any lying, thieving, murdering, fornicating, malicious, hypocritical, delusional wretch wishes to lay claim to the title "Christian", I am inclined to believe him.
So they have to keep adding "intepretations" and "opinions" to change God's word to be scientifically correct.
(I am not the grammar or spelling police, but that is pretty sloppy.) If "God's word" is not correct, then the even the devil is free to correct him. Truth trumps faith.
They have become fools leaning on their own understanding.
And you lean on the words of anonymous ancient writers, who understood even less.
Another example, Nephilim is nowhere in the bible, but they have to "keep changing the word" rather than admit they were wrong about who the sons of God were.
"Nephelim" (Hebrew נפילים) is the word often translated into English as "giants". So it is in the Bible.
The "nephilim" is satanic doctrine, being made famous in hollywood movies, being preached by frauds like chuck missler. Nobody reads their bible, they all just believe the pastor and hollywood...that is why this false doctrine is still around.
Yes, yes, we know. Everyone has got it wrong ... except you.

So in your owns words then, I guess you don't believe anything God says because it doesn't make "scientific sense'.

God took the man and put him into the garden...he could've just spoken it and the man would be in the garden. He is god, stop trying to subject him to man's limitations.
