These are reflections off of the peaks of mountains on the moon.

If the light spots were from an internal light source, you could still see them in the shadowed portion of the moon ... as the moon goes through its various phases ....

Another fine example of an impression emitting light on the moon.
In this photo of the moon the impression close to the shadow (top just left of center) area on the moon is emitting a lot of light and shines quite bright, brighter than any other impression.

You are quite right. It is the crater Aristarchus, which is the brightest feature on the Earth-turned hemisphere of the Moon.

The moon as people who believe in science and a globe earth with a moon that is lit by the sun.

That moon they say is a sphere lit by the suns light.
That means some where on the moon at all times there is a full moon, this full moon may not be facing the earth but is still there facing in some direction out in space.

Now here is a photo (below) of a full moon facing the earth. Notice there is a halo of light all the way around the edge of the moon. Every time i see a full moon, that light being emitted from the moon is there, all the way around the moon.

So when the moon is in this stage photo (below)
that halo of light is not there all around the edge of the moon. Only where the moon is lit, will be seen a little light coming from the moon in the lit area.

So if the moon is a sphere lit by the sun like science states. There should be a halo of light always perpetually around the edge of the moon. Because as science states being a sphere, some part of the moon is in a full moon stage giving off full light in some direction.

So the moon in this stage, should look like this if the moon is actually a sphere lit by the sun as science states. Because some part of the moon is always giving off full light from being a full moon. illustration below.

But the moon is never seen like this (illustration above) because the moon is not a sphere lit by the sun.
But is as the Bible states, a light created by God, that gives off its own light and goes through lighting stages ordained by God to give light on the earth.

The moon does not have light. The sun's light is reflected off the moon surface.


So which do creationists believe? Are you really going to "adapt" God's word to aethiest science unscientific explanations? No man has gone past the firmament (they tried to in Genesis and God confounded them).

half is in shadow meaning, half is also in light making a full moon and a full moon gives off a halo of light.

A halo of light emitting from the complete circular edge moon should always be seen on the moon if the moon is a sphere.

But a halo of light is not constantly seen around the complete circular edge of the moon and it should not matter what phase the moon is in. Because (according to science) half of the moon is always in light if the moon is a sphere lit by the sun.

More importantly, the moon has no atmosphere. There is no halo out there. The halo is due to effects in our own atmosphere. Or to put it another way...

And actually i did not use photos to make make my point just to visually illustrate what i was saying.

Because in viewing from life, a light emitting from all around the moon will never be seen in the new stages, only when the moon becomes full.

So the moon is not a sphere lit by the moon.

The halo of light surrounding the Full Moon is due to the scattering of moonlight (reflected sunlight) in the Earth's atmosphere.

When the Moon is a crescent, the Moon is roughly between the Sun and the Earth, the averted hemisphere of the Moon is illuminated, and it reflects light towards the Sun and away from the Earth. Since there is no atmosphere surrounding the Moon, none of this reflected light can be scattered back towards the Earth, so there can be no lunar halo surrounding a crescent Moon.

The halo of light surrounding the Full Moon is due to the scattering of moonlight (reflected sunlight) in the Earth's atmosphere.

When the Moon is a crescent, the Moon is roughly between the Sun and the Earth, the averted hemisphere of the Moon is illuminated, and it reflects light towards the Sun and away from the Earth. Since there is no atmosphere surrounding the Moon, none of this reflected light can be scattered back towards the Earth, so there can be no lunar halo surrounding a crescent Moon.

I do not believe your explanation, the light would still be reflecting off the moon and would be seen. Whether facing the earth or sun the light would be reflecting off the surface of the moon in all directions, just like when it is facing the earth and be seen like the illustration i posted.

But this light is not seen because the moon is not a sphere reflecting the sun light.
