  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IMHO, Monk is one of the best shows ever made. I think its hysterical. The characters are all so wonderful and the writing is great. I think that the twists in each mystery and how Monk solves them are genius. It is truly one of my favorite shows.

cr....a major Monk fan. :D

Lol I love Monk. I am borderline OCD when it comes to germs and junk, and it is comical to see how I must appear to everyone else!
That's cool! What I appreciate about the character is that, despite the OCD and how debilitating it can be, Monk is brilliant and successful...a good role model for those who suffer from such conditions.

I thought last night's season finale was great - it showed that despite what other people may find annoying about Monk, it's what makes him who he is, and that without the quirks, he doesn't have the gift either. It was fun getting to see Tony Shaloub stretch his acting muscles a little bit. "The Monk needs a little fresh air - I'll see you cats and kittens outside!"

I like it alot, but the episodes are getting stupider and more predictable to me. I mean, come on, the monkey was cute but that plotline sucked.

Thank you for saying that. I completely agree.

I wasn't impressed with the last slew of episodes. I thought the first few were an embarrassment, and the season finale was a joke. I thought there were several in the middle, though, that were top-notch and back to Old!Monk status.

I think the characters are great and were cast well, even down to minor characters like Dr. Krueger (sp?).
