It is all by God. But that doesn't change the notion that Paul reasoned with the Jews and Gentiles in synagogues as long as they would let him, then relocated to the gymnasium to keep going.
People do change their minds Stryder. You may not wish to acknowledge it, but it happens.
So Stryder, let's get this straight. You never repeat the gospel to someone who rejected it the first time?
Evangelists never reason with people, many times if necessary, to help them see Adventist viewpoints?
Ricker, do you mind if I ask you who you believe Babylon is? Who is the Harlot and who are her daughters?
Scripture never deals with heathen nations or false religions, but always God's own, and those who have gone astray. This is in house. So who are these individuals that Revelation speaks of?
My wife suffers in much the same way as you so I empathize for what you are going through.... it's her faith in God that gets her through each day, sometimes each minute of the day and she is able to see the mighty blessing that God gives to her.
I will keep you posted to a new treatment that my wife is going to try. It is lidocaine infusions... if it works, it will give her 3-4 days a week of significant pain reduction. The 1000mg of daily morphine she was on didn't do it and she had to withdraw after ten years use... not a pretty scene but we can thank God He got us through, just as He always has and always will. It's amazing how trial and tribulation can work such love and blessing if you'll let it.
I'll be praying for the Lords Will be done in your life... that He be merciful to you and that your husband come to a personal knowledge and relationship
with Christ.

Ok even though I posted it earlier, I guess 26 Use the silver to buy whatever you like: cattle, sheep, wine or other fermented drink, or anything you wish.
As you can see the bible says clearly wine or other fermented drink (at least in this translation) which mean the wine was fermented, no grape juice possible, tithes were used to buy it...the Lord said it... and yet EGW declared NOWHERE in the bible...
John, this passage from Deuteronomy ch 14 does not say to consume strong drink, it only gives permission to purchase it. This strong drink is translated from shekar, which is condemned in many passages such as Isaiah 5:11 and Proverbs 20:1. The Bible also makes it clear that priests are not allowed to consume this strong drink, so why would it condemn it in one place and allow it in another?
Take a look at Numbers 28:7, "And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of an hin for the one lamb: in the holy place shalt thou cause the strong wine to be poured unto the LORD for a drink offering."
I believe that using the title money to purchase the strong wine is allowed for it to be later poured on the ground as an offering, and that this passage does not say it is acceptable to consume the strong drink, only that it is acceptable to purchase it.

So you falsely reduced it to two choices to make your choice easier?for me, there's only two choices: Adventist or Catholic
the verb 'eat' which followed all this can actually refer to both eating and drinking...
If you can show some other Biblical examples where strong drink is encouraged to be eaten, then you have a good point. We still need to consider that strong drink was used to be poured on the ground...
Of course I do not believe that no one has a right to interpret for themselves, so I do respect your viewpoint. I personally choose to disagree because of the numerous examples the Bible gives where strong drink is a poison, ie. it would be contradictory.

You have many good points on how humans are weak. Brings to mind Romans 3:23.
