Seriously, there will always be upheaval on this part of the forum if you don't have moderators who can see the good in the arguments of both traditionals and progressives here; somebody who can see both sides.
I appear to be cursed with this ability. I appreciate the logic and honesty of Country Doc and Woobadooba and yes, even DJ Conklin, while I also understand and appreciate the earnest heartfelt opinions of RCProtestants, and LoveEternal, and FreeIndeed.
Since I got in all that trouble over that Little Debbie comment a little over a week ago, I haven't visited here much. I wonder if this means they'll take that infraction off my record now??? But I digress.
For those who believe that your moderators should know about Adventism and issues that are unique to it, I am not totally ignorant concerning Adventism. I have a friend who has taught me much about your beliefs over the past year and a half.
As far as what would or would not be off limits, since that also seems to be of great concern here, anything that can be defended (or defended against), using the Bible should be fair game for discussion.
I believe it is a mistake to make moderator appointments a popularity contest. That, to me is a recipe for disaster.
Just a thought.
