Moderating CF

Please pray about the moderating ministry here at CF. Pray specifically if you should apply to be a mod. We need good, solid mods and so I'm coming to you all to ask that everyone please just pray about and consider it.

The process isn't painful..........trust me!

Can you give us some idea of the time committment? I assume it means read EVERY post in your given area? How many areas are assigned to a given Moderator? Are there areas that need more attention than others?

Just some questions...I am interested.

Staff are asked to put in an hour a day for four days out of a week.....basically 4 hours a week.

No, you don't have to read every post in your areas, just check in on them and handle the reports as they come in.

You are given the forums you request as long as the ranking mod says he/she needs the help.

Yes, GA needs a lot of help. The news forums are high traffic and could always use help as well.

oh. i don't know about that one, i've probably only been a member for about 3 months. so i've got a way to go yet.

I would consider it but with kids, church, work, and school I honestly cannot commit to the time. Perhaps in the future...

Actually, I think it is written into the rules of CF that I cannot become a moderator. Check section 13. I'm sure it's in there.

Man, can you imagine the reaction of the Arminians if they saw a moderator icon next to my name? There would be great fear and trembling!!! Mwa ha ha!!!

I think you would make an excellent mod. You are a very clear thinker, and seem to be able to keep your cool, and so respond fairly to people. I think you'd be an asset.

I applied a while ago but was rejected because I had claimed to be a full preterist for a couple of weeks...... I was told that I would have to wait about 6 months or so before I could apply again.....I can't remember if it's been 6 months or not, but I can tell you, I'm much more settled in my beliefs now than I was!

I may try again soon....Ksen, can you tell how long it's been for me?
