  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This part is miserable! I feel like a horrible mommy saying this but I am so ready to be done!! The majority of the time I'm so miserable I could just cry. I'm huge, I'm swollen, I'm hot all the time, a deep sleep is a thing of the past, my stomach is sore, my feet hurt, I feel so unpretty right now lol...I'm just plain uncomfortable!

I feel like such a baby. I just wish I felt better, I want to enjoy this last part...but maybe that's just impossible lol. Can anyone else relate?

Awww, how far along are you? Sorry to tell you this but it's probably just going to get worse. You'll gain a pound a week with the baby in the last month, and well, I know the last month was the hardest for me, I always had zero tolerance for anything. It doesn't make you a bad mommy. I hated being pregnant with my first two, I'm trying to have a better attitude with this one, and I'm almost 8 weeks now and the morning sickness, the kind that lasts all day has set in. Blah! Personally, for me it's always been the first trimester that I hated the most.

 It's always been my theory that the last part of pregnancy needs to be so uncomfortable that a woman is actually excited and glad to go into labor and to give birth-- and relieved to be up all night with baby after birth, while being sore and flooded with hormones.

Hopefully it will be easier for you to slow down and take it easy after your house is done and you're all moved in

It's like the one thing I've learned from being pregnant so much--if possible (and it isn't always) to listen to my body and take it easy towards the end, to pamper myself and ask others who love me to pamper me too.

Thanks for your post! That made me feel better :). I do agree, I think it is this icky because it does make me so ready to have this baby :).

I HATED the last 4-6 weeks of being pregnant, according to all the mothers at church this is quite normal. Apparently most women hate the end when you are uncomfortable, hot, huge etc.

Case in point it was 55 degrees out I was 37 weeks pregnant and had an air conditioning repairman out to make our AC work...he was wear a coat the poor man!

I complained SOOO much during the last month so you have every right to as well. Don't worry once you have the baby, you'll think the last month of pregnancy was a breeze.

Awwwww... *huggggggggg*

You're not a bad mum... you're hating the symptoms, not the baby! And the symptoms can really suck. I'm 4 weeks behind you and it took me ages to do some shopping yesterday because I kept getting really light-headed and sick. And I needed to buy an ankle support (aggravated an old injury the other day) and the saleslady insisted I needed an 'extra-large' even though my ankles are usually quite skinny... and I knew the swelling would go down once I stopped walking around so much! Pest of a woman. Then I was trying to buy clothes, but it was stuff I needed to try on and I kept feeling really sick every time I tried to try stuff on... :D Funny now, but I snapped at a couple of salesgirls, poor things, then walked off to find a seat and something to eat. The third time I went there, I finally managed to buy something, though!

I finished up buying some lemongrass 'foot fizzes' and a bottle of foot cooling gel so I could go home and pamper myself a bit! :)

Hang in there. I hated being pregnant all 3 times. With one I had terrible leg cramps, awful hip pain with another, and just general inability to sleep comfortably with all 3. Someone told me that being so uncomfortable towards the end is God's way of getting you used to being sleep deprived before the baby arrives.

But I did make it and so will you. And as soon as you hold that bundle of joy, the last month will melt away.....into sleeplessness, sore breasts, droopy tummy, etc:D

I am totally feeling you! I have frozen my DH out the last couple of weeks because I have the a/c set right under seventy and all the fans in the house on. He complains that our electric bill is going to be worse than it was this summer! I don't want to eat, I don't want to drink, I don't want to be sociable...I just want to lay in bed and not be able to sleep. Yep, sis, I am with you. I am totally over this being pregnant stuff. The worst was this week when I had the stomach virus...and I couldn't take the medicine I would normally take because it might hurt the baby so I prolonged being sick by quite some time just because I couldn't take my meds :( But our babies are almost here!!!!

Well it looks like I don't have to wait to much longer. Today I got a bit of a shocker as I found out on our sono that our baby is measuring around 6 pounds at nearly 35 weeks. Being as petite as I am more so my pelivis I'm going to have a c-section at about 38 weeks. So it won't be long now!! My big boy totally explains why I've been so miserable :D.
