I was ordained almost 2 years ago. I came up with an idea to minister to the people who can not leave there homes that easy because they are disabled. I am running a full internet ministry. When people in my area hear about this (mostly the people that are in church every sunday) they tell me that its not a real ministry because it is on the internet. Or I hear comments that without a church building its not real, things to that affect. Can someone answer me why it is looked at so poorly? I myself am disabled and I like the idea. I am ordained. I filed all the proper tax paper work. So i guess I am just looking for other peoples input on what they think on the idea and also input on why some think it is wrong?

Hey rrawd, I wouldn't be so concerned about what humans think about such matters. Do you attend church yourself? As leaders, and christians in general, we should all be accountable to someone, so that we stay in check. I'm not saying that going to church saves us or keeps us saved. I'm not saying that at all.
We christians are all called into "the ministry". What is "the ministry" to you?

Hi,

I don't think it's wrong at all; I think it's a great idea. I am disabled and also have a chronic illness, and at the moment my health is not good, so the internet is a great source of contact, fellowship, debate and so on.
I would like to do something similar myself. I am not ordained, but am a preacher. I don't know how many online Christian counsellors there are, for example.

How did you get started on your internet ministry?

From a religious stand point they are right.. Thankfully we answer to God instead of religion. Remember that not everyone can be reached thru conventional means. There are alot of people who fall thru the cracks.. Your ministry sounds to be God's way of sealing one of those cracks..

So being a minister don't look for approval from your peers, Seek direction and love from your Father in Heaven. You are out there for a reason, and the people in conventional "churches" aren't that reason. also remember that all trail blazers Paul, Martin Luther, George Lucas all received flack for there "new Ideas." Look how the world benefits from there contributions!

Even though you may not be unleashing a new "Star Wars" on the world. You are out there for a reason!
