(James)
1 John 5:21...That we have been given a dianoia ...

(Robin)
I'm not sure I'm following you?
My bad. I am an idiot! I was referring to 1 John 5:20, not 21 where he says we have been given an understanding, dianoia. I was intrigued by this word because it is used by Jesus in the rendering of the greatest commandment.
‘Love the Lord with all of your mind’ (dianoia) Mark 12:30. And, in Hebrews
‘I will put my laws in their minds’ (dianoia) Hebrews 8:10.

Here is one for you to break down for me if you would be so kind:
1 John 5:21.(KJV) And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
In particular, the use of the word dianoia, which is translated both mind and understanding, but I find that comprehension would better express the intent.
Correction 1 John 5:20. Here I argue for using comprehension, or the means by which we reach an understanding, rather than the King James 'has given us an understanding'.

I do understand the Bible say we need to renew our mind with scripture.

I also understand the Bible say that if our mind full of negative, our actions will be negative.

So my question, if our mind is full of worldy, is it will enter to our hearts? Then actions will be wordly?

OR It will be just mind only, then manifest to actions?

What is also the connection of our mind to the heart to actions?
The heart is the very center of your being, the subconscious mind. The word of God needs to penetrate there and it will through the Spirit by the refreshing of your conscious mind. Then we become One, realizing this, all things become possible. This awareness is what makes you a new creature, doing what Jesus said, the very will of God! Every thought moves in the unseen creating corresponding fruit.

The word "heart" in Scripture does mean the same as our world's definition, which relates it to our emotions. In the Bible, "heart" means the figurative center of our emotions, intellect, and will. Sometimes the word "mind" comes close to the meaning of "heart." Therefore, when our heart, which needs God's transformation, leads us into acts, sometimes its feelings, decisions, or reason guides us.

When I became a Christian, God used my mind to convince me with a biblical process involving my reason to believe. Then, I like Jonah decided not to go into the ministry in a rebellion of my will, which he changed later to go to seminary. A few years later, I experienced 7 years of major depression (repressed anger), which God healed for more than 3 decades now. God still works on my imperfect life but provided those turning points in my life producing different actions.
