Are there any Messianic Jews who go to the mikvah and if so, where?
I am a Christian with some Jew in my ancestry. I have been reading about mikvah and am quite drawn to it.

I am not a Messianic Jew.. and our congregation goes to the local creek for mikvah [baptism of faith]

As far as mikvot the only one we have in my city is at the Orthodox synagogue and they are very strict about not allowing Messianic Jews to mikvah there.
One of the gals at my Messianic synagogue took two other gals with her to a secluded river where no one else was as lookout for her as she mikvahed.
I see no reason why a Messianic Jew should not be able to mikvah.

Yes I agree, that I have found no regulation that would explain the reason a Messianic Jew would be excluded from the Mikvah. We are free to build our own I suppose. It is one of my projects I hope to get to this winter. Just need to find the special supplies.

No but if orthodox Judaism has some good examples... we may take some of their ideas and incorporate them into our own.

My previous rebbetzin has a cousin in Alaska. Before the mikvah was built there, she flew to Washington state every month to use the mikvah. It's not like it's something that a Jewish woman does simply because it's a nice thing to do. It is a requirement and she must arrange her life accordingly.

exactly....the first thing that community builds is a mikveh...shuls
and schools can wait. A mikvah takes priority.

Did she really have to go through that much trouble? A lake or the sea could very well serve as a mikvah.

In fact, local Chabad has even used a swimming pool from time to time...

That's hard to believe- a swimming pool does not meet the halachic requirements for a mikveh.

The swimming pool belonged to a member. They made the necessary adjustments.

All I know is that it used to be a swimming pool, belonging to an old lady - and she agreed to turn it into a mikveh for a price.

To be honest with you, I never got to see it. Neither before, nor after any eventual changes that might have been made to the place. I never went to that mikveh, but I oftentimes heard them saying they were going to or coming from that place. Chabad folks loved doing mikveh all the time, but I think only men used that one. Sometimes they'd go twice on Shabbat: before sunset and on Saturday morning.

Now they have another mikveh they built for the community.
