  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well this is interesting, now James Dobson goes and endorses Mike Hukabee...

"...With Romney out of the race, James Dobson one of the nation’s most prominent evangelical Christian leaders is officially backing Mike Huckabee,...

..Mike Huckabee’s underdog campaign got a shot in the arm Thursday night when he won the endorsement of Focus on the Family founder and evangelical icon James Dobson.

“Obviously, the governor faces an uphill struggle, given the delegates already committed to Sen. [John] McCain,” he said. “Nevertheless, I believe he is our best remaining choice for President of the United States.”
Dobson – who said he held his endorsement until Mitt Romney suspended his presidential bid – has been a public admirer of Huckabee, citing the former Arkansas governor’s win in the Iowa caucuses as evidence religious voters are still a force to be reckoned with in the political arena.

“The results of the Iowa caucuses reveal that conservative Christians remain a powerful force in American politics. That had to be a great shock to those on the far left,” Dobson said....

He also took aim at "media elites" for dismissing the influence of Christian voters, and said Huckabee's win "was evidence of an energized and highly motivated conservative community."

Focus on the Family sends Dobson’s views to millions through his daily radio broadcast, and sends its voter guides to millions more, thanks to a massive database that rivals those of any presidential campaign...."

The other day I had the privilege to have a discussion with a gentleman who was going to vote for Huck simply based on the endorsement of Dobson. When I reminded him that ole Huck pushed for the illegals to get FREE college educations on OUR tab, and that he 'gave' a Mexican company a huge Little Rock office building for a $1 as year (any suggestions where the rest of the rent money is coming from?) to carry on their illegal immigration agenda against the wishes of the American/Arkansaian people ,the man said, well yeah--that’s true and I do have a problem with that, but hey--Huck is totally against abortion. (As if ANY right minded person shouldn't be?). I told him that Ron Paul was not only against abortion, but had actually DELIVERED over 4,000 babies into this world--could ole Huck say the same thing?

I also reminded him that
Ron Paul has CONSISTENTLY voted AGAINST any public funds going to aid and abet the people who are breaking our laws by sneaking into this country.

Now we have turn coat Huck actually signing a 'contract' with
America that HE will close the borders and begin to deport those that do not belong here!

WHO ON EARTH WOULD BE GULLIBLE ENOUGH TO BELIEVE HIM?

I sure hope our Advent people are not so brain dead that they would support this liar and deceiver. I've said it a hundred times friends--DON'T LISTEN TO WHAT THEY PROMISE--LOOK AT WHAT THEY HAVE DONE!!!!

But the sad fact of the matter is that millions are going to the polls and voting for those candidates who are endorsed by religious leaders, totally forgetting what the religious right did to us in the form of G.W. BUSH!!!

Ex 23:2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

Mike Huckabee has all but disappeared from the news, here is the latest, maybe he thinks something will trip up John McCain and make him the only choice...

"..Huckabee visits Mexican border ....Saturday morning, Mike Huckabee took a trip to the border he talks about securing at every campaign stop.

Standing on the Northern bank of the Rio Grande in Laredo, Texas, Huckabee looked across to Mexico as a Border Patrol officer briefed him on the efforts being undertaken to stop illegal immigration.

Huckabee, a strong proponent of building a fence along the Southern border, told reporters that it was not about keeping people out, but keeping bad people out. He gave examples of drug and human traffickers as well as terrorists...

I don’t resent that people want to come here, I’ve always said I thank God every day I’m in a country people are trying to break into, not in a country they’re trying to break out of,” said Huckabee..."

Legality of Huckabee's Mexican consulate deal questioned
Critics say Arkansas citizens, businesses financed office to draw illegal workers

Financial inducements arranged by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee to establish a Mexican consular office in Little Rock may have violated state law, according to an Arkansas attorney.

Do we really want this man who commits treasonous acts against the people of Arkansas and WILL commit against the rest of the nation in the White House? Look how he is deceiving the American public by saying he is going to stop illegal immigration when he did everything in his power as Governor of Arkansas to encourage it!! Folks—I don’t know how many times it needs to be said before peple to will listen, but—LOOK AT WHAT THOSE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT HVE DONE AND HOW THEY VOTED FOR LAWS AND NOT WHAT THEY RAE PROMISING YOU!!!

Remember—your PAST is an indicator of your present and FUTURE actions!!

Aren't y'all afraid he could bring on the Sunday Laws as well.

Even though I am not an Adventist, I don't rule out the possiblity of Sunday LAws being part and parcel of the tribulation, I just don't know for sure as the Bible doesn't say excatly what the trib will be and I go with the Bible ONLY and just trust G-d.

Well I feel that the laws that will force the last day issues will come about as a result of a event with worldwide ramifications much like 9/11 was. So one candidate versus another isnt going to make much of a difference, one way or another our freedoms and rights will be curtailed as a religious power will unite with the political as the bible makes clear......

Good point, Red.

And as I said, although I am not SDA I am not ruling out Sunday Laws as being part and parcel of the trib as the Bible doesn't say for sure what we will be tested and tried on except that we will be tested and tried on Y'shua and His Gospel.

I am not afraid, what will be will be and I will just trust G-d.

Shalom,
