• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Does anyone else have stress (anxiety) as a trigger? Man I tell you what, for the first time I got pulled over by an officer of the law, and he wrote me a ticket. It was horrible-I have been driving since I was 17; for 21 years I have had a spottless record. Just sucks.

Anxiety makes my adrenalin skyrocket, and then that whole fight or flight thing kicks in. I hope this doesnt happen again any time soon. I only have a few Zomigs left.

So how has everyone else's day gone  :)

Hope you both feel better!

I've taken the abortive med two nights in a row. Hopefully, not three nights but ugh...airs that unstable. We are in a mild drought. But,we can do without the severe weather. *groans* True, most people can do without, especially those who are in it...but...eh...I like complaining.

Least it's better than last year. We were, literally, the part in the nation the National Weather Service defined as "in the pink". (Not "red".) But "pink". (Bad color) Was during the Memorial Weekend in which several states in the nation's heartland were hit hard by a rash or tornado outbreakes.

I hardley remember anything to be honest. I recall the watches and warnings they had out. But, had to take an abortive and was knocked flat for 5-6 hours straight. From what my parents told me...the nearest the tornadic activity reached our area was the southeran region of the county. We were northern. And to think...I slept right through that.

Hope things start getting better for ya night2day. That really sucks. I live in an area where we have a lot of humidity, and I know between that and the heat, I get one. I stay inside more than most, and go out at night.

Wouldnt it be nice to be able to spend the day outside, playing in the sun, swimming, laying in the sun. Man I am so white I look like one of those blind cave fish that live in the dark, lol.

I certainly pray that the weather in your area gets stablized. I dont like weather changes either. Used to be worse for me up north, they had extreme weather changes.

That's cool that you were able to sleep through all that bad storm. (Rash or Outbreak-^_^ what a thing for them to call tornadoes. --Dont scratch they might spread, lol) Silly weather people.

GoodMorning.
Sorry haven't been on much this weekend, was gone all day yesterday. Had appts. friday. Not sure why I'm on here this morning, my body pain is at about a8 and I have a headache. Isn't it amazing what your body gets used to and can do at the same time its in alot of pain? geez.
Just wanted to check on you girls and catch up on whats happening.
Yes, stress and tension can bring on a headache/migraine for me. And if I skip a meal. Or eat the wrong stuff. Or stay out in sun too much. My family tease me because they call our house the cave. I have mini blinds and pull blinds and curtains on the windows when I have to make the place dark. Have to be prepared I guess.
Have a great day and Hope you woke up with NO HEADACHES.
God Bless,
rosemoss

Due to the allerigies I'm supposed to stay inside most to all the time anyway. My skin is rather light as...well...light. But then, I don't tan out in the sun. I just burn anyway.

Well...proof the meterologists have nooooo idea on how to predict the weather. Was changed about 4-5 times today times already today. Only shows what they (don't) know.

I'm still certain it's going to rain. In more ways than one. :)

So, I'm not the only one who lives in a cave. My family calls it the bat cave.

I dont tan either, I closely resemble a sheet of white paper, lol. One time I thought I would try the tanning beds, big mistake!! Those lights bothered my eyes even with those stupid goggles on. Instant migraine afterwards, bad one too; left little presents beside the road all the way home.

I have found that people like us will work til we just cant go any longer. Push and push and push til we just cant go any more, then slink off to our rooms to die. Just imagine what we could get accomplished it we never got sick!

Blessings everyone! :)

We should have a contest...

"Who has the whitest, palest skin!?"

Might make the Guiness Book that way, might scare many, many people also!

When I was a teenager, I was outside ALL OF THE TIME! My friends and I would lie out in the sun for DANGEROUS amounts of time, can't believe my Mom let me do that.....I'm gonna have to have a talk with her!!
I also went to the tanning beds in my 20's. goodgrief.
You'd NEVER know that now!!!

I like my cave. :sorry:
Foil. Good idea. Might keep the aliens from taking your brain cells.(Ok, bad sense of humor, I got that off the movie "Signs", with Mel Gibson. Please forgive me, I had a breakdown earlier today on one of the other forums, I'm feeling better now. :) )

Maybe being pale will make its comeback. Red hair did, who would have figured that one. Helped me though, I'm a redhead ;)

Wasnt it Solomon who liked pale skin. And you know what he was the wisest man alive before Christ. ;) ;) Yup, yup. Pale is cool.

I had a whopper of a migraine today, woke up with it. The sharpness is gone, the vomitting is gone, my body just feels like there's a semi truck parked on it. It always takes my eyes awhile to adjust back from the intense pain they'd been in.
Just wanted to say Hey, and hope everybodys ok today!! :amen:

Hey, I had red hair when I was...oh...2 days old or so. It was in a cowl. All around my head. That count????? (Course...I rubbed it all off and it came back a mid-to-light-brown, but nobody's peeeerfect!!)

As for Solomon...er....didn't he also have 700 wives and 300 conconcubines. And didn't he also fell away from faith because of the foriegn idols and gods and stuff of all of his wives and girlfriends? He was the wisest man. Doesn't mean He didnt have his own weaknesses either apparently.

Glad you're feeling somewhat better. The "hangover feeling" after the migraines can really take alot out of a person.

I woke up with one sputtering to start, but wasn't sure. Didn't become definate several hours later. Medicine helped, as did another 8 hour nap.
Doc's not gonna like that though. Ah well, let him deal with the One who can work with the weather.

Good-day ladies and gentleman.

I guess it's true what they say about woman suffering from more migraines than men. Anyway, I'm also a sufferer. Been at it since about 12. My doctor recommended that I keep a diary of all the activities I do as well as all the stuff I eat. Worked like a charm.

I cut out all the stuff that gives me migraines and I'm happy to say that I've been relatively pain free for about 6 years now. Still have the occasional attack, but it's much better than having one once or twice a week.

Anyway, hope that everyone is feeling good today.

BTW. Have anyone noticed how rejuvinated you feel after the "hangover" symptoms have subsided?

God bless,
E
