• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

you knbow what is funny about the pixel black to white analogy?

They are still pixels lol

A hairless canine is still a canine, and will never give birth to a non canine

a black woman and white woman are both homosapiens-sapiens, and will give birth to such

You missed the point entirely. Each pixel is made of a red element, a green element and a blue element. It's kinda like the pixel version of DNA. In the black to white example, the elements changed. Sure, they're still pixels, but that is irrelevant to the demosntration of how evolution works. Your argument is like saying that humans and bacteria are the same because they use the same amino acids in their DNA.

So you consider "canine" to be a "kind" then?

No no give me the nucleotide sequence and it's mode of passing that sequence of nucleotides onto the next generation. Not just some vague characteristics. You know perfectly well what I mean when I Say DNA so stop being purposefully dishonest Jesus would not approve.

If you can't do that admit that the comparison is erroneous.

And canines will never stop being Caniformae. Caniformae will never stop being Carnivora. Carnivora will never stop being Mammalia. Mammalia will never stop being Eutheria. Eutheria will never stop being Sarcopterygii. Sarcopterygii will never stop being Vertebrata.

Need I explain this further?

When the sun's and moon's gravitational pulls are at right angles to each other, the net difference in the pull on the fan belts are at their lowest, producing the least amount of gravitational interference.

Assuming maximum tuning, these tides can then reproduce r.p.m.s at maximum efficiency.

No no I clearly asked for the nucleotide sequence. Please provide it and stop posting irrelevant rubbish.

I want that as well as it's mechanism for passing that sequence on to it's offspring. If you cannot provide it isn't viable as a comparison to biological organisms undergoing evolution.

 -- Ah! My apologies!

I gave you neaptide, not nucleotide.

Do you act that way intentionally AV?
In this case, yes.

I warned him, didn't I?

QV the bottom line.
Will a picture do?

Do you know what this is?

(Note to lurkers: I might as well play his game and have fun with this.)

What did you warn me about?

That you attempt to derail when you don't have a real answer by posting irrelevant garbage instead of just acknowledging a perfectly valid point (seemingly because you are too proud to do so)?

I don't see that anywhere in your signature.

Some people think it amusing to make people angry, at least, when they can do so safely.

I honestly don't think the guy is being sincere.

The [excellent] point was made that, comparing the fossil record together is like comparing a fan to a Formula-1 racing car.

There are so many gaps in the fossil record from cyanobacterium to man -- (I'd say in the quintillions) -- and a floor fan is also lacking enough r.p.m.s to accelerate a Formula-1 racing car.

But instead of answering the point, which is a simple comparison in numbers, he came back facetiously (in my opinion) by intermixing the two examples, so as to render the point inane.

I can play that game too -- only better.

No problem. I understand that when you can't answer something instead of admitting error you'll just post random rubbish.
I'm not in the habit of 'admitting error' when I can't answer something, are you?

Ignorance ≠ Error

Actually, we have something better than a complete fossil record (which would never actually convince you as you would claim it was put there by the devil to lure you from the path of righteousness). We have your DNA sequence and is written in every cell in your body... well, except red blood cells, but I expect red blood cells have something to do with the devil. Or perhaps red blood cells are divine because they don't show our evolutionary past and therefore blood is the only part of our bodies not contaminated by the devil. Who can say what you believe? Does it worry you, AV, that so much of what you believe is made up as you go along?

I couldn't care less.

We aren't talking about DNA, we're talking about the fossil record.

And I'll say this a second time as well:

You (or anyone) would die of old age before you ever put the fossil record together.

A few years back, I asked if the fossil record was digital or analog, and got what I thought was an honest answer: analog.

Oh it isn't my own medicine. If anything I appreciate honesty. When the answer is apparent even if it shows your comparison to be flawed just suck it up and be honest. I find your prideful nature to be totally hypocritical when looked at alongside your claimed belief in Christianity.

Formula1 cars don't have DNA and they don't reproduce. Neither do fans. Instead of just saying this you post irrelevant garbage in a feeble attempt to deflect the issue. This is purposefully dishonest. As far as I'm concerned it isn't how a Christian should behave.
