I have yet to see a thread on this. So, anyone in here that's a fan of Metal music?

You have good taste, man. Dream Theater and Opeth are my favorites out of that list.I'm a fairly big metal fan.
Favorite bands:
Dream Theater
Opeth
Into Eternity
Summoning
Sigh
Immortal
Necrophagist
Meshuggah
Rhapsody of Fire
metal sucks....its all just a bunch of grunting, and if u dont believe me, listen to someone like Slipknot or Cannibal Corpse....disgusting, vile music.
Oh, yea! I for got about Antestor. They are an awesome band. You'd probably really dig Antestor too then.
I completely forgot Opeth. I've been loving Still Life as of late.
and Slim, why do you even bother posting in these threads? We all understand you're an ignorant knob. We don't need the reassurance.
Ohh, metal....the antitheses of everything I love about rock delivered as crudely and as in your face as possible. While I agree with SlimShadyJB's sentiment I find the description somewhat inaccurate.metal sucks....its all just a bunch of grunting, and if u dont believe me, listen to someone like Slipknot or Cannibal Corpse....disgusting, vile music.

i cant even be bothered saying anything about slims comment... Metal? Crude? Maybe whatever crap they spew out on the radio nowadays, but anybody who knows anything about metal knows that metal is far more complicated then any rock band.Ohh, metal....the antitheses of everything I love about rock delivered as crudely and as in your face as possible. While I agree with SlimShadyJB's sentiment I find the description somewhat inaccurate.
In the interest of accuracy, Metal ought to be regarded as something sounding like "Amplified white noise punctuated by tortured screams of pure agony" which ironically is exactly the reaction it inspires in me. It hurts my hears to even think of it.
