As everyone knows, the writing of history goes to the victor. I have seen those who claim to be "Orthodox whatever" when the claims could not be further from the truth. A majority vote does not equal truth.
That is like the Palestine "poor me" news we are getting on TV, bought and paid for by Middle East Oil money, Obama demands, and death threats to reporters in Palestine.Often it does. Something conspiracy people forget.

IF only the "truth" existed in their minds, then maybe we would hear it out of their mouths.Originally Posted by CherubRam View Post

That truth only exist in their minds.

If TRUTH only existed in their OWN minds then that truth is not of God.

Not sure what you mean by this but I see Israel getting a beating by the media, which seems to run by the old "if it bleeds it leads" rule.
But every now and then someone writes some truths.

In decades past it was different, with America as an ally to the state of Israel, the news was generally consistent with that, showing Israel as it was indeed, a small land with the people renovating what was unused from the desert with great productivity, providing a nation where Jews could freely practice their religion, and braving odds while surrounded by hostile forces that determined to annihilate that nation.
Weren't there claims somewhere in that past that there were Jews with control in the media? The way it is now there are definitely other interests in that position, and they are not sympathetic to Israel. The state is repeatedly and frequently subject to assaults, but in news it is portrayed with any defensive action or retaliation shown as examples of general injustice coming from Israel. The end times portrayed in Bible prophecy shows the world turning all against Israel, so this is to happen, but people praying for them and the peace for Jerusalem will be blessed. It will come to the only true help they will have with them recognizing the Messiah.
Oh yes, converting to Christianity is the only hope for the Jewish people. Actually, I think converting to Islam and assimilating into Muslim culture would do more to help them blend in and be "safe."
Here's hoping that no one ever comes at you with forced conversion as you think will happen to the Jews.
Like so many muslims, even that is not a safe place to hid. Loyalty to YHWH is our only hope. It is He who will save us.Oh yes, converting to Christianity is the only hope for the Jewish people. The very fact that it was mentioned by the early believers lends itself to the practice of multiple mikvahs. The Hemerobaptists (Heb. Tovelei Shaḥarit; "Morning Bathers") were part of the baptist group for which the baptismal rite of initiation is the single most important feature. Significant of the Hemerobaptists is that this baptismal rite was repeated each day, rather than once and for all. The Hemerobaptists were probably a division of the Essenes who placed particular emphasis on bathing as a ritualistic cleansing before the hour of prayer each morning in order to be able to pronounce the Name of God with a clean body (Tosef., Yad., end). Samson of Sens translates a section of this Tosefta which refers to this cleansing: "The morning bathers said to the Pharisees: 'We charge you with doing wrong in pronouncing the Name without having taken a ritual bath.' Whereupon the Pharisees said: 'We charge you with wrongdoing in pronouncing the Name with a body impure within.'" The sect is also mentioned in the Talmud (Ber. 22a). Hemerobaptist baptism differed from proselyte or synagogal ablutions in that this baptism was both symbol and sacrament.
John the *Baptist was probably a Hemerobaptist, as is suggested in Clementine Homilies (2:23). His followers were eventually absorbed into the Christian Church, although a part may have gone to the sect of Mandeans in lower Mesopotamia. A remnant of this group was still active in the third century C.E. Several early Christian authors make mention of the Hemerobaptists. Sects, Minor
Maybe we all should "mikvah" pray in every cleaning practice we do whether in shower, tub or any body of water. Giving all the glory to God in devotion that extends to another area and aspect of our life... cleanliness.Clementine Homilies 2:23 "There was one John, a Hemerobaptist, who was also, according to the method of combination, the forerunner of our Lord Jesus; and as the Lord had twelve apostles, bearing the number of the twelve months of the sun, so also he, John, had thirty chief men, fulfilling the monthly reckoning of the moon, in which number was a certain woman named Helena, that not even this might be without a dispensational significance....
Jewish Church (the Nazarenes) retained its Jewish identity, functioning as the remnant of Israel in the midst of the Jewish community. By the 7th century, though, Jewish Christianity basicly disappeared.
Nazarenes
Estimated 40-137 AD Rabbi Akba is the one attributed to being a leading contributor to the Mishnah and Midrash Halakha. He is referred to in the Talmud as "Rosh la-Chachamim" (Head of all the Sages). He believed Bar Kokba to be the Messiah. He accordingly limited the Messianic age to forty years, as being within the scope of a man's life. Akba has been said to have taken an very active role in the Bar Kokba revolt of 132-136 AD with his disciples numbering 12,000 (Gen. R. lxi. 3), 24,000 (Yeb. 62b), and 48,000 (Ned. 50a). The Bar Kokhba revolt was a rebellion of the Jews of Judea Province, led by Simon bar Kokhba, against the Roman Empire. He suffered martyrdom on account of his transgression of Hadrian's edicts against the practice and the teaching of the Jewish religion. Jewish sources relate that he was subjected to a Roman torture where his skin was flayed with iron combs. There is Biblical and extra-Biblical evidence that such Messianic Jewish community life existed. Ya-akov (James) wrote to the "twelve tribes scattered among the nations" (James 1:1), giving advice on their community life that he assumed was made up mainly of Jewish followers of Yeshua.
In two places in the Book of Acts, James reveals his emphasis on Messianic Jewish community life. In Acts 21:20, he introduces his expectation that Jews should live as Jews.
"When they heard this, they praised God. Then they said to Paul: 'You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews have believed, and all of them are zealous for the law.'" (Acts 21:20)
This concept implies that these thousands of believers were identifying with other Jewish believers in community life, in congregational life. In contrast, in Acts 15:19-21, James tells us that Gentiles should not be pressured to live as Jews, though they are permitted to investigate Jewish life if they so desire.
"It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood. For Moses has been preached in every city from the earliest times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath." (Acts 15:19-21)
Messianic Jewish Movement
Acts 5:34-39 But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, who was honored by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a little while. Then he addressed them: "Men of Israel, consider carefully what you intend to do to these men. Some time ago Theudas appeared, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men rallied to him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing. After him, Judas [i.e. Yehuda or Judah] the Galilean appeared in the days of the census and led a band of people in revolt. He too was killed, and all his followers were scattered. Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God."
Acts 24;5 For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Judeans, throughout the world and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes" . . .
James remained the leader of the Jerusalem church until his death around A.D. 62. This is the account of his martyrdom according to Hegesippus (a 2nd century Christian about whom little is known), which is quoted in Eusebius' Ecclesiastical History, vol. II, ch. 23 (A.D. 323).
