Why does it seem (as far as I know) that Mary only appears in "RC" countries?
Also (though this might be for a different thread), does stigmata only appear on RC people? At least as far as I know itn does.

God is our good Father, He gives us only what would benefit us, since most Protestants do not have a devotion to Mary, getting a message from her would seem odd, they would be thinking more about "why did God send Mary" then whatever it is that God wanted to tell them. There have also been a lot of visions of Jesus, it is not like God just uses the saints and angels.
Also when you ask why does Jesus send saints and angels rather then just go Himself, well the saints and angels love Jesus as Lord just like we do, He died for the saints, so maybe they want to send His message to earth, we love to spread the word of God and help our brothers and sisters in Christ, when we are dead, why would we want to stop doing that, so it is almost as much of a favor being done to Mary, giving her the honer of telling people the will of God, as it is the a favor being done for the person with the vision

also, just a quick note about what the Catholic Church believes about visions, all doctrine can be found in the Bible and Sacred Tradition, all visions only tell people to "straighten up and fly right" more or less
none of them give new revelations or doctrine

Oh yes, I would agree with that....one has to check stuff against Scripture

I think He can pretty much do whatever He wants to do.

I believe God has allowed Mary to appear to us at different times, in Lourdes, France, and in Fatima, for example. But, it is good to be suspicious of the numerous odd sightings. I think the real ones are very few and far between.

I suggest you watch the movie "The Song Of Bernadette". It an old classic with Vincent Price, about Mary's appearance in Lourdes, France. Great movie.

Its hard to find and it rarely comes on TV. But it can be purchased pretty easily.

Thanks for the link...actually it looks vaguely familiar. Maybe I saw it or part of it when i was a little kid, aand forgotten.
