Merry Christmas to All and a Happy New Year too! May our Lord Jesus continue to bless you and your families and may we always be a light to those who seek Jesus and may they know us by our love in Christ.

God's peace,

yup, we could just get over our petty denominational differences, quit looking for ways to be offended and wish each other a Merry Christmas. Lets be thankful Christ was born and gave us, all of us, life. :crossrc:

I know for a fact that I am not alone in believing that the "denominational differences" between OBOB and SR are NOT petty.

In spite of feeling that way, lets just give Jesus a special Birthday gift and focus on just loving each other through the Christmas Season.

I send you Blessings overflowing and Love everlasting.

Merry Christmas.

You're so right! The differences are vast and irreconcilable!
Please read my siggy! Do we believe when one sincerely seeks Him and only His truth that it will be found by them? Jer 29:13 says, 'Seek me and ye shall find me when you search for me with all your heart!'
Thats what it takes- no tradition, no ritual, no family history or background, but a sincere reading of His Word, seeking Him and His truth only, not caring what the world has to say! He will never be found until that occurs!
Can two walk together unless they be agreed?
Be not unequally yoked together!
Everything changed at the reformation! Our focus now is Semper Reformanda, always reforming, returning to be most certain we have only the whole truth!
What price unity? Again, read my siggy!
Tolerance today is close kin to apathy! Dont go there! Stay the path, keep it true and pure and share it with others!

can we at least agree that nothing is impossible with God?

If we all agreed on everything, eventually the walk would get boring.

Yes, we can. That is why the Protestant Reformation succeeded.

Nice. Really great statement there. (Yes, I'm being sarcastic.) I suppose you'd rather not go to heaven, then?

since I am a blood bought son of the Living God, I am sure of going. That kind of sounds like, if I don't believe exactly as you do.......

Now this is quite silly. You said that everyone agreeing would be boring, so I asked if you would rather not go to Heaven (because, naturally, we will all be agreed in Heaven). If you find the prospect of everyone being agreed to the glory of God for eternity boring, then perhaps you'd rather not go to Heaven.

On the other hand, I think it is much more easily conceived that you'd rather amend your statement to not be so inane.

In any case, merry Christmas.

Took the words right out of my mouth!
What a great day it will be when we all stand before God with our lenses of sin removed and we see the Glory of God!

I find that I am less disturbed by those who took offense than I am by those who decided to enact revenge by going over to OBOB and reciprocating with posts designed to "get even" over what they percieved as an attack, and then all those who jumped on the bandwagon and gloated over how clever it all was.

Jesus wept.

They have all turned aside,

They have together become corruupt;

There is none that doeth good,

NO, NOT ONE!! Psalms 14:3

But for God's great mercy and grace we would all be condemned to the wrath to come!

His grace is sufficient!

A sincere prayer for a Merry Christmas to all posters on CF! May our sweet Lord draw each of us even closer to Himself in 2006, show us our sin and gift us with repentance!

Is it just me - or is there anybody else offended by the first post in the thread? I kind of look at it as a cheap shot.

When I saw the post on the 21st, the words were lost upon me because of the picture. It represents everything I disagree with regarding religion.

As a matter of fact, this thread was kind of on my ignore list because of the picture.

Oh Well,

I hope OBOB had a wonderful Christmas also.
