By the way, are you a veteran? Just wondering because of your username. I have a lot of military family. My parents had me when they were quite a bit older. So my dad was even in Vietnam. When he made it back that's when he "got Jesus."

I have a lot of military family.

My dad was 49 when I was born, and mom was 38!

She claims she carried me 11 months before I was born!

So my dad was even in Vietnam. When he made it back that's when he "got Jesus."

Praise the LORD for your dad!

I got back in 1976, and was saved in December of 1981.

Get outta here AV! My dad was 49 and my mom 38 when they conceived me too! Haha, what a coincidence. I don't know when my dad got back from Vietnam. My parents are very religious so mostly just talk about their faith. For reference I was supposed to memorize the whole Bible but I don't even know the names of my grandparents or most of my aunts and uncles or basic information like that. They believe in the "we are of the world, but are not part of it" and try to minimize all contact with people who aren't part of their Church community. It is strange to know so little about my extended family and my parents before their conversion. The little I do know wasn't even directed towards me. I overheard it when they were witnessing to other people.

Yes! Most people I know don't have parents having kids at that age and the ones that do are both around the same age. Do you have lots of siblings too? I'm about the middle-ish child of 17 kids.

I didn't actually memorize the whole thing. I was just suppose to. I did know quite a bit though, mostly from the New Testament, but I have forgotten a lot of it now. I have memory problems.
