Hi DeerGlow
I know it is difficult to get the support a person needs, especially at a younger age, because people who don't have those problems don't understand it and don't realize how much you actually suffer. I know an official diagnosis is what you are looking for to get that support you really need.
While you are waiting for your diagnosis there are many other things you can do to feel better, such as living a healthy lifestyle (exercise, healthy food, drinking enough water between meals, sunshine, relaxation, enough sleep, temperance, fresh air for the brain, and abstaining from harmful substances such as caffeine, chocolate, sugar, unhealthy foods, etc.)
Also, believe it or not, but certain types of movies and music can also affect our mental health. Try not to listen to music or watch movies that make you feel anxious, depressed or over-energetic. Christian music (without beats and drums) are much healthier for our mental health.
The way we think also affects our emotions and behaviours and they can be corrected with cognitive behavioural therapy. The other thing that helps is to make sure you don't get too stuck in your thoughts and to focus more on the present moment, things you can see, hear, smell, touch and taste, so that you don't allow anxiety, depression, paranoia, etc. to capture our thoughts. Practice coming back to the physical world when you feel your thoughts wandering off into that space where you feel lost.
It will be good to get a diagnosis so that you know exactly what you are dealing with. I hope you can get to a doctor soon. In the meantime, keep asking for support because you don't need to deal with this alone.
