Men and diaper changing

Do men change diapers?

  • Sure-no big deal-its my kid too.

  • Only if the wife can't do it then.

  • NEVER--that's wimmins work!

  • I try to make myself scarce so I won't have to..

This was one issue that came up with the biological "father" of my child. He never changed diapers. In fact, he acted like he was my baby and not our baby. I think men should learn how to change a diaper and be receptive to pitching in from time to time. After all, the woman can't always be around.

My husband doesn't mind the idea of sharing tasks related to the baby when he comes in April. We are trying to get to a place finacially so he can quit and keep the house and be the caregiver. At this point we both need to work so if will be some type of daycare, individual or center.

when my oldest (now almost 26) was born, he was screaming at 2am to be fed. I "nudged" my wife at the time to get out of bed and do her breastfeeding thing. A few minutes later, she came back to the bedroom and plopped a soggy daiper filled with hazardous waste on my face and told me to get up and finish changing him! My taking a very active role in diaper changing was never a question after that (I couldnt breastfeed the baby due to my nippples hurt too much so I would change the daipers instead.....).:p

Should men be responsible for changing diapers or should that be reserved for the moms?

If two are needed to sire that child, two shall be responsible for caring for it. No exceptions without a very good and plausible reason. No cheap excuses. :D

Well, I have never had kids, but when my little brother was born (I was 13), I was primarily responsible for him (cause my dad and stepmom were lazy). I can't even tell you how many times I had to stay home for school and spent my whole summer taking care of him. So, I have changed way more diapers than probably those two idiots (stepmom and dad) ever did in their life.

I don't plan on having kids, so I don't plan on ever changing another diaper. I have a friend who is incontinent and has to wear diapers. I won't change his either. :p
